I hear what you’re saying. Layers confused the heck out of me for the longest time, then it finally clicked and all started making sense. They are easy to work with now. It would have “clicked” for you too, you just didn’t give it enough time. I love using layers to make collages, especially. I don’t know how one would do it any other way.

Well, I’m sure what I’m actually doing when I do collages and masks is ‘layering’ each object on whatever my background image or canvas is, but somehow, working it all right there on the workspace and moving the active objects forward or back until I merge them feels easy. :)

JC, I am having a wonderful time - and when the little grandaughters become whining ‘Drama Queens’ I just say to myself, “Not my pigs - not my farm”, and zip muh mouf. LOL!!!

I have fixed a huge ham (ask AZAmericonnie how good that is), scottish eggs, baby back ribs, and turkey and ham sammiches.

The best fun was making pie cookies yesterday (all day) with the girls........they were so excited. I told them those are the best Pie Cookies to ever come out of Grammy’s oven! They were SOOO proud!

Memories need to be made with care, and you need to make lots of them.

Your graphic is lovely.

Billie, I like your picture frame in 2107.

It reminds me of a craft that I got involved in, and made picture frames for a while.

Use fabric, and half Elmers glue/ half water, soak the fabric and if you work at it, you can make it do petals, and other fancy stuff.

For a ruffle, double it and then soak the gathered ruffled fabric.

Or leave it flat and plain, and using a sponge, smooth it on any surface, a frame, a box or............

When dry, it is stiff and will stand up, if that is what you want it to do, if it dries with braces........

I had never heard of the Corn Palace.
I learn a lot by checking out these weird holidays. <<<

LOL, yes, there is so much to learn.

When I first went on the internet, there were only a few million websites and I set out to see most of them.........never made it, they keep adding them faster than I can click.

Have a happy Friday.

KSU is my alma mater also (but I think I am quite a bit older than you are..)..Heck I remember the Indian’s pow wowing around the big rock!

Those cities are my hangouts too. My chiropractor is in Stow/Kent (corner of Graham & Fishcreek).. Eddy’s bike shop & Marty’s Bike shop are hangouts as well as Centruy Cycles in Pennisula.

Love to eat at the Thai restaurant at 91 & Graham in Stow & the same owner one in Hudson at 91 & Terex Driver..

When did you leave the area?

I left after college but returned 16 years ago to caregive mom (as she was only given a few months to live).

I am a pretty good care giver huh?

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
