Hello Billie! That Oregon tour was pretty neat! I didn’t know Mama_bear was an Oregonian. Maybe someday, I’ll get to shake her hand. :)

I’ve lived here for over 20 years and had no clue it had more ghost towns than any other state. I’ll have to look into that....I love exploring ghost towns.

Oh, Billie, I just cringed when I saw you had linked to my Oregon Finest thread because for years all my fotki images in my opening were red x's.....ALL of them. It was a mess. Not only my images, but my backgrounds were also not showing up. I used to have an account at Fotki but decided not to renew it. So, I figured that is why all my graphics had been deleted. But, I just checked the post and 90% of them are back!! There are still a couple missing, but nothing like it was the last time I checked it. I wonder why they all of a sudden started showing up when they had been gone for years?

Anyway, thanks for opening the doors so colorfully today. I am checking my picnic list twice so I don't forget anything and getting ready to make my fruit salad. Gotta run! Bye!

Hi, derllak, I'm glad you enjoyed the Oregon tour. Mama Bear's a Californian actually, but for about the last four years she, and I, and a few others have done state profiles of almost all the states in the union. You can see that there is no link today for Illinois or Wisconsin - those two are still on the 'to do' list!

IF you are inclined to check out more of the profiles we've done - at your leisure - this United States map I did is up-to-date at the moment. (hope to add Washington and Illinois in the next couple of months - there is no ETA on the other few)

You can see who did the presentation by the one who posted the thread. Goes without saying that a lot of work goes into the preparation! :)
