The Hobbit Hole XXXVII - ...Down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed!

Posted on 09/25/2008 6:43:34 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Good Catch Win Mag - however, some of us have Remington 870s that were made before interchangable chokes came into general use. However, that is an accessory that belongs in most of our tackle boxes.

I’m still looking for a duck bill we had on our 12 gauge’s in the military. Really heavy steel tubing that looked like it had been put into a press and squashed to make an oval pattern for the #4 buck mixed with # 9 shot we used.

I went out to trim the hedge on the north side of the house this morning. The first pass of the trimmer opened huge holes where there was no greenery. The hedge is now laying on the sidewalk in pieces, thanks to OB’s handiwork with the chainsaw. The sucker was over 6 feet tall, and only had growth on the outside 3-4 inches.

Jackson is used to sleeping under the hedge and he is not amused at its demise.

Glad they came so quickly to get things fixed for you!
I’ve had a problem with my computer just shutting down, over the last week or so. Joseph’s gonna set me up the bomb with a new box. SirKit got a new laptop today, so he doesn’t need his, anymore, so they’re gonna transfer all my stuff to that one. Sure hoping that will solve the problem.

They’ll probably cut Beorn out.

Hmmmm....that was weird. Cubz got an infield hit when Fukudome chopped one in front of the plate and the ball ended up inside the pitcher’s jersey.

I’m just sayin’...

That would be great casting, assuming Beorn is even in the movie.

Why is Cartman standing in front of the Hobbit Hole?

You know, I used to have that answer. Seems to me we discussed it somewhere in the first 32 or 33 threads...but I can't recall exactly...

To: Corin Stormhands; All

Been away in the hospital since Sunday, got bad case of the runs, drained out my intestines, got potasium level up to 8.5 (ask 2J), Dr said if I didn’t have a cardioverter pacemaker I would currently be toast. My kidneys had stopped functioning, got into the hospital, up and out in 72 hours.

According to all I have read Beorn is a lock to be in the movie (lawsuits permitting) he is only a little less certain than Smaug.

My new theory is that lembas is a bacon explosion.

At least he’s not sticking a paw in there.

That's why some moronic human came up with this AC plug converter.
