Time for a major Third Party to form: Sarah Palin to lead it

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:27:06 PM PST by Cedar

The GOP has too many RINO's. It's time for a true conservative major party to form.

Sarah Palin can be the candidate in 2012. She is the only one who has a strong enough following to form another major political party.

Dumb idea. Basically every moderate has been picked off by liars on the left.

She can’t win at the top of the ticket.

Wrong.

Before too long even Sarah will turn out to not be “conservative” enough for the third-party types.

How do I know?

History.

Why?

If your roof has a leak, do you build a new house?

If you crash your car and bang up the front end, do you scrap it?

Now that the mods have left and a bunch of people were voted out of office, is there anything really left of the GOP?

It’s ripe for rebuilding cause all the moderates are gone for the most part.

useless crybaby nonsense.

get together your like minded supporters and form a caucus INSIDE the republican party.

THINK.

Consider how palin was vetted by conservatives on the religious front.

Now project a conservative caucus in the same republican party having that type of approval power.

The republican clubs across the nation are yours for the taking IF YOU ARE WILLING TO QUIT WHINING AND WORK.
All politics are local.

(now where is my free gasoline?)

That would be a disaster. The only real GOP leaders left are conservatives. Palin, Jindal, Pence, Ryan, Cantor and a few others.

What would you be splitting up? The moderates are all Obamabots now.

We are now the Dems in 2004, only I don’t see a quick path to flip FIFTY seats in the House in 4 years. Mindboggling.

No we need to reconstruct the Republican Party. It is time to get back to the SMALL GOVERNMENT, FISCAL CONSERVATIVE that the GOP was known for. The Social CONSERVATIVES are what is causing the REPUBLICANS to lose!!

Time for the SMALL GOVERNMENT REPUBLICANS to take over the GOP!!

Actually, I find myself wondering if the best chance for success isn’t for social conservatives to register Democrat and get socially conservative Democrats elected in primaries. Other than the far left and special interests, the thing that seems to keep a lot of blue collar social conservatives from voting Republican is the idea that the Republicans are the party of the rich, which is why the economic meltdown became an albatross around McCain’s neck, but building a whole new party is nearly impossible.

It’s time to rebuild the Republican Party. If that can’t be done, then the Republicans will have to go the way of the Whigs and a new conservative party will be formed. But don’t give up on the Republicans without trying to save them first.

It’s too late to purge from the GOP. Clearly, by the reaction of so many so-called repub writers (Noonan, etc.), the GOP has let go of its foundation of true conservative principles:

The Right to Life for all (including babies in the womb)

Marriage only for a Man and a Woman

We had the perfect package when Sarah came on board the ticket. She is the true conservative. And yet many in the GOP failed to stand behind her, and some even bashed her openly.

No, the GOP has moved too far left. It’s time for a third party of true conservatives.

I wish the best for Sarah. She will help the state of Alaska and her people. But if she wanted to, in a couple of years, she could be the candidate of a major third party. She has millions who would stand with her.

No, this is more like, you ran your car off a cliff, it smashed to bits at the bottom and burst into flames, do you replace it?
