Time for a major Third Party to form: Sarah Palin to lead it

Posted on 11/04/2008 9:27:06 PM PST by Cedar

The GOP has too many RINO's. It's time for a true conservative major party to form.

Sarah Palin can be the candidate in 2012. She is the only one who has a strong enough following to form another major political party.

Yes, agreed. Republicans now have a bad name in the minds of voters. That’s the reason for this lost election.

The GOP can be left with its moderates and lefties to appeal to the liberal voters.

The true conservatives can all vote for the new third party.

That way Dems and GOP are going after the same liberal voter. Third party gets all the conservatives.

Third parties never go anywhere. It's a much better idea to reform the Republican Party and make fiscal responsibility, transparent government, and a reformed tax code priorities.

We've had eight years of Bush pumping up the size of government like a lunatic.

We need to be the true party of fiscal reform.

The Right to Life for all (including babies in the womb)

Marriage only for a Man and a Woman

Personally I agree with them, but I believe this is why the GOP is losing some TRADITIONAL states (PA, NH and ME), because of the social conservatives. I think the GOP should be a SMALL GOVERNMENT/Fiscally Conservative Party.

2 gay people living together does not affect me. I am a CONSERVATIVE but Social Conservatives are driving me to become an INDEPENDENT!

Just read your post....pretty much says it all. Sad, but that’s the way it is, folks.

You described it perfectly. Sarah worked her heart out, went on a daily schedule that few people could endure, speaking very well the message of conservatism, and yet, was bashed and attacked by people in her own party.

I said it a week ago, and now will say it again. She is too good a person. They do not deserve her.

America is a two party system. Attaching ourselves to a third, fourth, or “any multiple thereof” party will buy us nothing but irrelevance forever.

Our nation is now populated by two basic groups... the real Americans and the Socialists/Communists.

The leftists have chosen their party and taken possession of it. We need to purge our party of the wolves and dig in for the fight ahead.

I looked at the electoral map. There is one continguous swath of states that are still red, North Dakota to Texas, with some few states on either side and deep south. East and west coast, all blue, always blue, they rule the rest of us. That ought to tell you something, and it's not all about race (some probably is), but the way society in general is headed.

There is no future in the Republican Party. I'm going to switch to no party and lay low. I can always vote as I please even if I am registered with a party, but that is not the point; I would never go Dem because of life issues and big government issues, and I don't want the Republican Party taking me for granted, not that I count for anything because I don't. I don't see much future for this country because the young people don't have a clue. The ones that do can't carry the whole burden on their shoulders.

It has nothing to do with the color of my skin, but I feel like I've been a minority for a long time because of the way my life has been, stigmatized for something that isn't my fault. So I know how it feels. I don't get any preferential treatment for it, nor do I expect it. I shoulder my own burdens; many of us do.

What percentage of the population has their salary paid by the taxpayer in one form or another?

the GOP can’t be fixed.
It needs to be replaced.
AGREE %1000..I call tomorrow to withdraw my standing with the party . I vow to fight every word out of that Marxist bastards mouth. We need to ORGANIZE gangs of anti Obama folk who will protest his every move. We need a NEW party that represents US. Bush didn’t and neither did Mc Cain and neither does %99 or the GOP>” It’s dead Jim “

Why? And where is that law?

Conservatives do not have a home in the GOP any longer.

Which Conservative - Fiscal, small government or social? I believe the social are at home here, and those people hate small government and fiscal conservatives!

The GOP is done. Finished. It has wanted to be the minority party and it now got its wish, for the next 20 years.

The era of Newt and Reagan is over. nothing will change it - until we get serious about what we want the GOP to be -- do we want the GOP to be a party for religious folks or do we want it to be the party of States Rights/ individual freedom.

I want a party of state rights and individual Freedoms. I do not care if the girl up the street had an abortion, or if 2 guys are sleeping together. I want the government to stay out of my wallet and out of my way!

Sorry, I do care if the government allows a baby in the womb to be murdered-—legally murdered.

And I do care if the government allows two men to be legally married or two women to be legally married. That’s a perversion of marriage.

Third parties do not win, sorry but the GOP is not dead. We need to rebuild it -- and tell RINOS and Social conservatives to leave! we need to go back to its roots a state rights party!!

Right now there IS only one party , the Democratic Party. I only see a smoking hole where we once stood. The GOP has stabbed me in the back one too many times..BYE BYE

Thank you... this is why IMHO the GOP is losing people. What Adam and Steve wants to do in their bedroom doesn't affect a marriage if you are married to the opposite sex. If it does, there is SOMETHING wrong -- WITH YOUR MARRIAGE!.

Guess that explains why Gay Marriage bans passed overwhelmingly in California and Florida (who both were in H's column)
