LMAO! Yes! I even mentioned it during the thread. The extreme close-ups aren’t good for him.

He needs to ask Jessica Simpson and Diddy about Proactiv.

all the contestants are so mediocre that our preferences are all over the place.

Compared to previous seasons, the group's average performance for the first night on the "big stage" was, I thought, pretty good. Just nothing really remarkable... most of them hung around that average.

Now, the question becomes, how much of that is the contestants, and how much is the theme? I'd beat my head into a wall if I were competing and the first finals night was Jacko...

I completely agree. Everyone was generally good, small issues here and there, but good. No standouts as being far ahead of the pack.

I think he might be beyond that. I noticed a few craters on his face.

I’m not sure if I will be able to make it tonight. You kids have fun for me. :-)

Kara acts like Jorge can hardly speak or understand English. LOL

I noticed that also. She's not very "multicultural". (lol)

And Meagan’s mother is drop dead gorgeous.

Uh huh. My first comment was "Well at least now we know where Megan gets her looks from."

In no specific order, my favs last night were Danny, Allison, Adam, Matt and Alexis. I thought that the rest of them were just eh.

I forgot to add...did you see that scary very close up of Adam last night?..looks like he puts on makeup with a trowel.

Speaking of Adam, he's such an obvious queen that it overshadows his otherwise genuine talent. From his black nail polish to his stage makeup, to his raggedy girlish haircut, to the weird things he does with his tongue, he just creeps me out. I'll bet that's what's been holding his career back.

Dang, I almost forgot about American Idol. The horror....

Lil Rounds (The Way You Make Me Fee) - You make me feel sick. I don’t like.
Scott Macintyre (Keep The Faith) - Keep the faith that you’ll be going through. You sing well and you’re blind.
Danny Gokey (Pretty Young Thing) - Pretty young thing is pretty cute and can sing well. But you need to learn how to dance.
Michael Sarver (You Are Not Alone) - You will not be alone when they kick you and someone else off tomorrow night.
Jasmine Murray (I’ll Be There) - Someone better there picking another song for you. You can sing, but song choice dear.
Kris Allen (Remember the Time) - Remember the Time it was cool to groove with a guitar and make the song your own. Stupid Simon.
Allison Iraheta (Give In To Me) - With a voice like that, I’m sure a lot of people will give in to you. I love your voice.
Anoop Desai (Beat It) - Uh, you beat it. Go home.
Jorge Nunez (Never Can Say Goodbye) - But hopefully you will be saying goodbye tonight.
Megan Corkrey (Rockin’ Robin) - Rockin’ something, I LOVE your voice and your style and it doesn’t matter what you sing, you rock.
Adam Lamber (Black or White) - Black or white, you choose a hair color and nail polish and I’m sure the fans will just love it. You’re voice is great, but I’m not sure imitating Michael Jackson works for you.
Matt Giraud (Human Nature) - Now it’s human nature to like a swooney, soft guy who sounds like Justin Timberlake. It worked for me.
Alexis Grace (Dirty Diana) - Wooh girl, you are playing dirty aren’t you? I liked it, but it did sound screechy and too loud at times. I agree with the judges to tone it down. Simon can suck it though.

I saw that on dail-idol and was worried about Allison also. She has a good rock voice. If they have Celine Dion night then that will be a challenge for her. But if she can switch it up and make it her own it would work fine.

She has a great personally and has quite wit as she did with Simon saying “Hey it's not like I am up here cutting myself.” which I thought was funny. But I am sure the cutters out there will freak and protest that she is being insensitive to them. Then AI will have a segment featuring the cutters and in during Idol Gives Back they will send free razor blades, Neosporin, and Band Aids to them.

There is no Idol Gives Back this year. According to Dial Idol Allison is second to the lowest in votes, but, if the judges get to pick who goes home, then I think they will save her. She’s much better than the lowest and third lowest. jmo
