I drink a lot (I mean a lot) of coffee. I’ll stick with Folgers, Eight O’clock is okay, but nope, Folgers remains our brand, both at home and here in the office.

I drink Folger’s mostly. If I’m out, I’ll go to Dunkin’ Donuts. I also have a Gevalia subscription.

I never did understand the appeal of Starbuck’s other than the “Look at me, I pay $5 for a cup of coffee” factor.

My favorite is Seattle Mountain Coffee, Colombian whole beans roasted right at the Pentagon City Costco. I grind right before I brew.

Consumers Reports have been picking Kroger’s 8 O’Clock coffee for 25 years.

And the Black & Decker DCM2500 at $22.99 was the best coffee pot? Stunning. Go first class and save a bundle.

Starbucks coffee is bitter to me. As my Mom used to say, “Its strong enough to sprout legs and walk.” Yuck.

Yup, I drink Caribou and I really like it. For a special treat I will splurge and buy Blue Mountain Jamaican ( expensive but oh so tasty)

Sbux was good in the late 90’s, when the barista’s actually drank the stuff they were making. I find most coffee houses (with the exception of local one-off places) taste no better than what you can get at McDonalds. Don’t even get me started on Dunkin Donuts. What passes for coffee (and smoothies, but that’s another story) on the East coast doesn’t sit well with this Left coaster.

If this is about great “brews”, it should be about BEER not coffee!

Picking “best coffee” is like picking “most beautiful woman”. 50 different people have 50 different opinions.

I’m sure their pick of best coffee is as valid as their “proof” that Isuzu Troopers roll too easily. Left wing hacks. They should stick to rating appliances.

Starbucks coffee is the most expensive bitter tasting coffee there is. No wonder they are laying off workers and closing stores. And who wants to read the New York Slimes these days? With Starbucks coffee, you have to pour a ton of cream and sugar into it just to make it remotely smooth. This morning I filled my car up and bought my coffee from the gas station. The coffee I bought there was vastly superior to anything I ever got a Starbucks and the price was much lower.

I like the simple stuff: Dunkin, McDonalds & &-Eleven top my list (in that order). Starbucks, Seatlles Best and Krispy Kreme are non-starters!

Eight O’Clock? That’s the best coffee? Yuck. I bought it once and ended up throwing it out before we’d even used half of the package. Almost as bad as that Cameron’s Organic crap.

The best coffee is Caribou’s Mahogany, Mocha Java, or Obsidian. Second runner up has to be Dunkin’ Donuts, followed by my favorite coffees available in Anchorage - anything from Coffee Cats or Kaladi Brothers. Mmmmmmm.......

By the way, I DESPISE Consumer Reports.

One of the best brands found in supermarkets and discount stores is Seattles Best. I love their Cinnabon and Creme Brulee flavors. Also, if you have a Sheetz convenience store near you, they sell their coffees (ground). Their Pumpkin Spice (available Fall only) is awesome! I just finished the last of my ‘stash.’
