And some of us don't find Adam to be talented. Its a matter of opinion and fortunately this country still allows us to make our own choices on who we like musically.

What I find amusing are those that use Bible verses to chastise those that are opposed to an act that God clearly called an abomination. Funny how there is more chastising going on to those opposed to the sin, than for the person actually committing that sin. The pictures of him kissing his boyfriend ARE ONLINE. The pictures of him with his boyfriend at Burning Man where he calls him his boyfriend are online. That's an admission.

First of all, I have no idea if he actually is a homosexual.

Pics like this might make one think he is...

omg... you and matt’s mole. Hopefully next year we'll have a contestant with a goiter, or else it'll all be a let down.

Very good thank you....

I know, I'm from San Diego, and I should have been rooting for Adam. He'll do just fine. Chris is way more of an "American" Idol, than the gothic wonder that keeps making me look down his throat when he sings. Ew.

That’s kind of my thinking as to why it went down the way it did. I think Adam was “better”, I personally liked Kris better.

Adam will be quite successful. Kris really grew on me. I’d enjoyed seeing the two of them in the finale.

Hi Retrokitten— I think you are the one who gave me some high-heel-wearing advice earlier this year. I appreciated it, but thought you’d be amused to hear that in spite of your advice, I still tripped (at an important event) on my super-spikey heels. It was funny because I’d worried enough to get advice, but I still busted my butt! What a goof ball! I’m sticking with my lesser pumps until I get more practice.

Thank you so much for all your work and hilarious graphics for this season’s thread, Jonny. I will miss it.

I am actually angry at tonight’s win. I really like Kris and voted for him several weeks. (We are allowed 3 votes each in our household and I chose him several times)

However, Adam was truly, clearly better than Kris and Kris would be the first one to tell you that. I believe the reason Adam didn’t win was because of his lifestyle and not his talent. I may not agree with his lifestyle, but he seemed like a smart, respectful person, and he is extraordinarily talented.

This is some Americans’ (and undoubtedly some FReepers’) desire to punish a gay agenda by hurting one gay young man in a singing contest. It makes me sad and disappointed. He wasn’t asking to raise your taxes or invade your homes, but just to win a singing contest. He is no worse morally than some of the FReepers who make some pretty nasty sexual comments on some of the threads with pictures of hot ladies on them.

With that said, Kris truly was a dark horse and did indeed deserve to make it to the Final Two. And to all of the true Kris fans, including my own son, congrats. I’m only sad about those who tried so hard to keep him from being the American Idol.

I hope they both have successful careers.

The best part about this year is that both of these guys were humble and kind and thankful to the judges.

Definitely. I was always impressed.

The anti-gay accusations are really getting old. Look, Adam lost because he wasn’t as current as Kris and because many voters felt that he was too theatrical and that he arranged a lot of his songs in a similar fashion each week. Most couldn’t care less who he sleeps with at night.

We had a disagreement in this house, but I really think Bikini Girl did NOT know Cara would appear. That is why Cara made sure to put a loving arm around her at first, before she actually proved she can sing and dance better.

I think that if Bikini Girl had known this would happen, she would have feigned shock — she did not, she was too stunned. She would have tried to outdo Cara, but she did not. She totally froze for the rest of the song. I think they sprung it on her and it was very entertaining. Cara went up in my estimation a little for doing it!

How about an America’s Got Talent thread?

We are going to be in the audience for that show tomorrow again! We've already been once; we were in the "Chicago" auditions. As in the "Chicago" part of L.A., LOL. It's a very fun show to watch; the acts actually literally come out FASTER than they do on the show, so you see more in 2 hours than you'd see watching TV. Go Bearssss. :)

Cry me a river. Adam was a one trick pony who relied almost exclusively on his ability to scream like a two year old having a temper tantrum to impress people who couldn't recognize real musical talent if it bit them on the butt.

Cris' talent showed through in his versatility. Adam had no versatility whatsoever. Every time he let loose one of those baby being tortured screams, it was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

For raw singing talent, Danny was the man. But for sheer unadulterated musical talent, Cris was head and shoulders above everyone in this competition.

Freddy had range and emotion that our little Adam can’t even touch. He was a once in a generation phenom and anyone who wants to step in is destined for inevitable comparisons and subsequent failure.

thank you! there is no other like Freddy Mercury... his voice and performances are classic... i loved that guy...
