All Dogs Go To Heaven [Church Sign Debate] FUNNY!!!
The Real Democrat History ^ | 04/14/09 | Unknown

Posted on 04/14/2009 3:01:47 AM PDT by coffee260

This is literally a “church signs” debate, being played out in a southern town, between the Catholic church and a Presbyterian church that face each other across the street. From top to bottom, you will see the response and counter-response over time. The Catholics are displaying a much better sense of humor. You get the impression that the Presbyterians are actually taking this seriously!

My cats feel very disenfranchised right now.

I do love German Shepherds. Had a couple of em growing up. Great dogs. So smart, so loyal, so much talent. Great animals.

You are OK. It's just that you are predestined not to be the lead dog on that particular old joke. Call it a theological "Shaggy Dog Story?"

Cheer up, your dog may be predestined for salvation.

Our Pastor said that these beings were placed on this earth to give us enjoyment and companionship and there was no way God would not have them in Heaven waiting for us if we get there.

I believe my pastor.

Even though our dog is fine, we adopted a three month old kitten last September who was found by a police officer as a new born at the roadside next to her dead mother.

The Officer took her home and fed her with a eye dropper and then gave her to us.

Yesterday, at the age of ten months I took her to the Vet to get spayed. She died from a allergic reaction to the anesthetic.

Of all our pets through the years she was the prettiest and the biggest "stinker" we had. She brightened up our lives for the few months we had her and she was loved with no conditions.

RIP Mulan. I hope to see you in Heaven.

I hope sincerely that dogs are just animals, who have no immortal souls liable to eternal consequences.

I own dachshunds-there's no way dachshunds are getting into heaven!

On the Q of whether or not animals go heaven.

I believe that heaven is so great that we can’t even begin to understand it. We can debate all we want to on this earth but when we get there this and other debates will all be answered.

Sort of like an “O Wow How Cool is THIS” moment, as best my mind can comprehend it.

God knows what joy it would give us to have our dogs with us in heaven. God would want us to be happy so our dogs will be there!

Weren’t these monks and their German Shepherd Dogs featured on an episode of “Dog Whisperer”?

If you like German Shepherds, you should really love Shiloh Shepherds. My wife and I have two, and they simply are the most remarkable dogs ever.

Animal Planet featured them on a short series of their own titled, "Divine Canine." I took a trip up to the monastery last winter and wrote it up for the FR audience here.

My old shepherd's mom was a New Skete dog so it was like closing a loop for me ;-)

I cannot tell you where it is in the bible, but it says sinners will be outside of heaven with the dogs when the doors to the wedding are closed. Paraphrased of course.

Thank you for your words of implied inspiration to the cat-loving crowd. Now, what about those darn goats of yours?

Cold noses, waggy tails, someone who greets you at the door after a long and terrible day at work who is glad that your home..... food is their great motivator, and “ the car “ or “ the toilet “ are the greatest inventions that most Dogs would agree that humans invented.
