TEA PARTY U.S.A. - It's about YOU the HARD WORKING TAX PAYERS!
My thoughts ^ | April 15, 2009 | Cindy

Posted on 04/15/2009 1:14:15 PM PDT by Cindy

Today, the voice of Americans was heard.

The Tea Party U.S.A. is not a one day national event -- it's the continuation of a chain of events and activism that will strengthen our country.

We are doing this primarily without main-stream media coverage.

That's o.k.

Your voice is being heard without the main-stream media.

Keep it up my fellow, patriotic Americans.

SNIPPET - QUOTE:

On Saturday, July 4th, be part of the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party rally in your community

The Tax Foundation says that because of unprecedented budget deficit over $1.5 trillion, it will take each individual until May 29 to pay their taxes this year. On May 30th, you begin working for yourself instead of your government. This is wrong! Join others in your hometown and across the country by participating in the American Freedom Day rally. We suggest you have your meeting at noon in front of your city hall, but you will make the decision on where and when the rally will be.

President Obama is always looking for “change” you can believe in.

There are so many ways to serve, apparently.

OPINION:

I think the T-Parties are a great way for change.

Supporting our military who are serving to protect
us is a great way to serve.

Electing candidates to office (from local to the presidency)
who are truly patriotic Americans and pro-America
is obviously ... priceless.

July 4th Tea Party Ideas
04/21/2009 | EBH
Posted on April 21, 2009 4:19:08 PM PDT by EBH

I am reading about a lot of desire for Tea Party II.

What happens in your hometown on July 4th?

I know in mine there are FIREWORKS!

This brings the whole community together in one location. Sure we could stand around with signs, hold seperate protests, shout our disapproval, but how about dressing up as colonists and hand out tea bags and flyers to the folks!

The flyers could explain the massive debt that is being created. The hidden taxes happening under our noses. Hyperinflation. Or how about just quotes from the Founding Fathers. A mixture of both.

Tea Party Success Escapes Media
Newsmax ^ | April 21, 2009 | Phil Brennan
Posted on April 21, 2009 5:10:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Last week I wrote of the nationwide tea party movement and our mainstream media’s lack of respect for it.

I wrote: “That the numbers expected to participate are staggering can in no way be attributed to publicity in the odious mainstream media which can devote gallons of ink and expensive broadcast time on protests by small handfuls of left-wing groups opposed to the Iraq war or promoting gay marriage but can’t find time or space to cover the birth of a genuine and spontaneous nationwide citizens movement honestly.”

Right on.

Instead of covering the tea parties a legitimate expression of dissatisfaction with an out-of-control spendthrift federal government, the mainstream media derided it and universally portrayed those fellow Americans as near sub-human non-thinking goons.

The dissatisfied were unable to gracefully accept without question the beneficence of the glorious Obama administration at whose feet the mainstream media worshipfully grovels.

Just who are these people of the media?

For the most part they are the products of alleged institutions of higher learning presided over by a professoriate composed of devout Marxists who float above the grim precincts of reality while concentrating on expressing their hatred of America and inflicting their venom on their impressionable students.

Convinced they have been elevated into an elite by virtue of having spent four years under such informed and inspired tutelage, they go forth into the ranks of the nation’s print and broadcast media harboring the virus of imagined superiority over the citizenry of the despised United States of America.

A Freeper’s D.C. Tea Party Address: PARASITES / PROMISES
Tea Party, Washington, D.C., Saturday April 25. | Saturday, 4/25/09, 11a-1p | FrPR
Posted on April 24, 2009 3:05:16 PM PDT by FrPR

To be Delivered at the Lafayette Square Tea Party at the SE quadrant of Lafayette Square, right across Penn. Ave from the White House.

FrPR

I am here to speak on the subject of Parasites and Promises.

They swore!

They told us – I was there – I heard it on the news, I heard the soft, measured pleading, I heard the financial experts, the banking analysts –

They said “We need eight hundred billion dollars by Tuesday, or the financial system in the United States will collapse. We are all in this together - ’”

Of course we gave them our children’s money. They told us we needed it!

We’re all in this together -

Because – it would have been a disaster if some of these firms were allowed to fail. Think of the buildings! The buildings alone! Think of that one magnificent monolith, the symbol of American industry, technology, intrepidity – that symbol of our global reach and power – that one magnificent building, the pride of the New York Skyline….

Ladies and gentlemen we CANNOT let PAN-AM fail!

Ah but Pan Am did go belly-up. Which is to say - its assets were gobbled up by smaller, more aggressive, more competitive fish. The new employees prospered. Models changed, markets shifted . The free market triumphed as it ALWAYS triumphs when it is the property of the people – all us fish in the tank - and government and the Fed leave it the heck alone.

Perhaps you disagree all of a sudden. What about the crash in 1929, you say? I will tell you a secret. The boom – the inflationary boom - which ended with the great crash, was totally artificial. It was created by systematic and repeated actions by the Federal reserve to slash interest rates and flood the credit markets with cheap money. The free market was ignored – Flagrantly disregarded. An “inflationary boom” was created. The market CEASED to be free and became – just prior to the crash – the property of the Fed.

Welcome back.

I probably don’t need to add that – to a great degree - Federal regulations killed the greatest and most innovative airline in the world. The point is, Pan Am failed. United Fruit failed. Eastern Air Lines failed. Executive Life Insurance, Enron, Montgomery Ward, Woolworth, Arthur Andersen, WorldCom – Failed. And every time, legions of experts of one kind or another predicted that some portion of the earth, as a result, would simply - - - implode.

DO YOU KNOW – why the food in New York City is better, on the whole, than in any other city on earth? This is an indisputable fact. If you wake up at three in the morning in Manhattan and you have a sudden urge to eat a shish kebab, or you really, really crave oysters on the half-shell… Not only will you find EXACTLY what you want not far from where you are at three in the morning… It will be the BEST shish kebab, the FRESHEST oysters you’ve ever had. Why is this?

It is commonly known that New York City has the highest restaurant FAILURE rate in the world. You have to be really, really good to make it in New York. If you’re not, you fail, and the business goes elsewhere. If you ARE really good. If you govern yourself – yourself, if you keep your own standards astronomically high, if you strive day in and day out in your work ethic, in your thoughts and deeds, in your prayers, in your SERVICE to others and again – always – SERVING others – you win.

It is very hard to win when, at every point, Federal, local and state governments have their nose in your business, creating new bureaucracies for regulation, administration, licensing and inspection… Bureaucracies funded entirely by money stolen from their targets. It is hard to win when a pickpocket is nipping at your heels.

But some of us do WIN. …….And we win because we know we can also fail. Failure is a necessary part of the life-cycle of a vibrant economy – it can sometimes be avoided. The strongest man fails sometimes, and wins and wins again - and he hires other men and together – knowing always that failure is possible - they dream and achieve.

But what happens when lesser men, less independent men… Weaker men among men… More practically dishonest men learn to side and organize – not with industry, not with dreams and achievements and individual liberty – not with producers - but with pickpockets?

They become parasites. Lampreys.

A lamprey is a parasitic marine animal with a toothed, funnel-like sucking mouth. They attach themselves to other animals. In North America, they are an invasive species.

They have no natural predators…

They only ever fail temporarily. That is when they kill their host. This, they know, is a bad thing.

Parasitic men seek governments which will promise to supply them with hosts on whose blood they can feed. This is a transgenerational promise. The hosts and their children must continue to produce so that the parasites can feed. The hosts must continue to strive, to believe so that the parasites can feed. The hosts must never be ENTIRELY weakened.

Parasites derive their powers without consent, so they must be very sneaky.

They must be encouraged: The parasite must speak to the host in bold, patriotic tones. They must speak of industry, of Hope, and Change, and the American way, and Freedom… They must whisper, always:

“Keep fighting. We’re all in this together. Your success is OUR success. WE will pull through. Your power is OUR power. Your life, your liberty, your pursuit of happiness is a mutual aim. It is a symbiosis – a mutual life – a mutual liberty – we seek mutual happiness – We’re all in this together. I need six hundred billion, today, to keep it all going. - Here – are you feeling weak? Here – let me take some power from you. Let me be your strength. We are one. I am your government....

…I will not let you fail. …I will not let you fail.”

And, the blood-letting continues, slowly, as the generations pass.

Parasitic governments are supported, politically by, and comprised of, parasitic men.

In my country, they are an invasive species.

It is time the parasites discovered a natural predator!

Tea Party Movement mentioned in TX HS Debate about Bailouts!
vanity | 4/24/09 | Erkyl
Posted on April 24, 2009 7:30:06 PM PDT by erkyl

Please forgive my indulgent vanity here, but I thought it would be fun for my tea party friends to hear about my experience this evening.

I am a paid debate judge for many district and regional tournaments in North Texas. This year’s Texas Lincoln Douglas Debate topic for the state competition (UIL) is whether or not bailouts for major corporations are just. This has made for rather lively entertainment for me as I have heard a great deal of misinformation being spewed from the mouths of these young high school students from time to time. However, tonight I heard an excellent debate in which the negative position upheld his side by arguing the importance of the principles of democracy and that it is more just for our government representatives to be upholding the will of the people. He cited information including 81% of Americans did not want the bail outs, but the government did them anyway. In cross examination, his opponent started talking about how if people didn’t like what the government was doing, then they should rise up and overthrow their government (ahhh, now there’s an idea...). And the young man replied, “that’s what the tea party movement has been doing, they have been upset about the bailouts and they are protesting the government, but the representatives aren’t listening and they are not representing the people.” Then the affirmative started spouting the party line—people don’t know what’s good for them, doesn’t the government have an obligation to look out for the people who don’t know everything. (Little did he know who he was talking to.)

I voted for the negative, of course, but mainly because he provided better argumentation. But I made sure to mention on the ballot that the notion that our government must make decisions for us that we can’t make for ourselves is tyranny, and not representative government, and therefore is not just.

RANT: I just read the (Tea Party) Riot Act to a RNC telephone fund solicitor (vanity)
4/24/09 | self
Posted on April 24, 2009 8:15:54 PM PDT by The Spirit Of Allegiance

I just got a phone call from a nice lady who said she had a message for me from Michael Steele.

She told me how shameful it was that Mr. Obama would bow to a Saudi and was urging my support of the RNC.

I cut her spiel short and agreed that the bow and overall moral cowardice of that man is a disgrace. (I am praying that Mr. Obama will become a man of courage and decency.)

I then made it very clear that in my eyes, Mr. Steele has been less than a mighty force for Conservatism—so far. I pointed out how he has been wimpy on the Second Amendment, got thoroughly feedbacked and has taken a better position of late.

I noted that the RNC is not yet taking a strong enough stand about the BLOODY hands of the Kansas Governor/HHS candidate, nor about the loathsome loose lips of the DHS figurehead Napolitano.

I told her I’m the last person who would hope to see the GOP divided but I am not satisfied that the RNC’s agenda is satisfactory—and as a result I will support local/state and national candidates directly instead of through the RNC.

At that comment, my Gentle Caller protested that the RNC does not support any candidates in primaries.

I told her it was TIME THEY DID.

I told her it was time they posted criteria on who and why they supported such.

I told her it was time for CLOSED primaries.

She again told me the RNC doesn’t support closed primaries.

I didn’t have the chance to mention the RNC’s general vacuum-like absence of SUPPORT of its GRASSROOTS BASE at the 4/15 Tea Parties.

I did tell her I would be posting details of this conversation here at FR.

I didn’t get around to mentioning how the last two Christmases I’ve been wished “Happy Holidays” instead of Merry Christmas so I’ll add that thought here as well.

/ RANT OFF

US Rep Tom McClintock’s Tea Party Speech
McClintock Website ^ | April 15th, 2009 | Tom McClintock
Posted on April 26, 2009 6:57:36 PM PDT by Bokababe

Sacramento, California. April 15, 2009.

Let the word go forth today from gatherings like this across the nation that the silent majority is no longer silent. We are stirring. We are awakening. We are many. And we are Americans – the latest generation of Americans who have been called upon to defend our liberties and the constitutional principles of limited government that protect our freedom.

Think about how far we have strayed from what Jefferson called the “sum of good government.” He described it as (quote) “a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.”

Somewhere along the line we lost that government. Isn’t it time that we got it back?

Our opponents seek to portray us as angry taxpayers. No, we are not angry taxpayers. We are resolute Americans. And today, we here highly resolve that the liberties defended on far-off battlefields by ten generations of American patriots and heroes will not be casually thrown away here at home – not on our generation’s watch.

We are here because we, as a people, are awakening to the danger of a government that spends too much and borrows too much and taxes too much, because we know what that means.

We know that you can’t spend your way rich.

We know that you can’t borrow your way out of debt.

And we know that you can’t tax your way to prosperity.

No nation in the history of the world has ever spent, borrowed and taxed its way to economic health. Not one. But history gives us many examples of nations that have spent, borrowed and taxed their way to economic ruin and bankruptcy.

We Californians already know where these policies lead, because under a tragic succession of governors, we have watched them turn our once Golden State into an economic basket case.

We watched as they increased spending at unsustainable rates; as they ran up unprecedented debts; and as they imposed crushing new taxes.

Today in California, run-away government spending has impoverished our economy; interest costs are eating our budget alive; and our tax burden is producing one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation.

We have the highest income tax in the nation. Next door, Nevada has NO INCOME TAX, and yet California just increased our income tax yet again. We pay the highest sales tax in the nation. Next door, Oregon has NO SALES TAX. And yet, California once again has increased the sales tax by 13 percent. And they have just doubled our car tax.

And yet, despite record levels of taxes and record levels of borrowing, this government still can’t manage to provide a decent road system or educate our kids or protect our families from predators.

The $13 billion tax increase that they just forced on our families is the biggest tax increase by any state government in our nation’s history.

And we remember what happened the last time they did this. We remember what happened when Pete Wilson imposed a $7 billion tax increase. While the national economy expanded, Wilson’s tax increases broke the back of California’s economy; they produced the biggest plunge in retail sales in 30 years and then produced two consecutive years of billion-dollar-a-year declines in state revenues while the rest of the nation prospered.

That was a $7 billion tax increase. Can you imagine what a $13 billion tax increase will do in the most difficult recession in a generation? Well, we’re about to find out.

The Census Bureau tells us that an unprecedented number of Californians are now fleeing to the 49 other states. But if we allow these same policies to destroy our country, where will we go?

President Obama’s budget relies on the biggest tax increase by the federal government in our nation’s history: back-breaking new taxes on small businesses, on investment, on energy production and on charitable giving.

This is not complicated stuff. If you increase taxes on productivity you get less productivity. If you increase taxes on energy production you get less energy. If you increase taxes on charitable giving, you get less charity. If you increase taxes on investment you get fewer jobs.

Obama’s budget would double the national debt in five years and triple it in ten.

Let me repeat that. All of the debt that our nation has accumulated from the first day of the George Washington Administration to the last day of the George Bush administration – will literally be doubled in the next five years and tripled in the next ten if Obama and Pelosi and Reid prevail.

We’ve watched how too much spending, too much borrowing and too much taxing has wrecked our state of California. We are now watching it threaten to ruin our country. And we have had enough.

Our opponents expect that we will vent our frustrations today and then go home. They expect that we’re going to grudgingly cut our family budgets by another $1,300 a year to pay for Schwarzenegger’s new taxes. They expect later this year, we’ll cut our family budgets by another $1,500 to pay for Obama’s new taxes. And that’ll be the end of it.

I’ve got news for them. This is just the beginning.

When we go home today, we’re going home to organize…

We need to write letters to the editor, post blogs on the Internet, make entries on facebook and myspace. We need to twitter and call in to radio shows and stand up at public meetings and be sure that every voter understands that … “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.”

We’re going to agitate and agitate and agitate everywhere we can in every forum we can find – every single one of us. This is a fight that every one of us is in and where every one of us can make a difference…

And whenever we get tired or discouraged, we’re going to remember what the American Founders first pledged in defense of our freedoms when they signed the Declaration of Independence. You remember their words: they pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. And they meant it.

Every one of them faced the gallows, but they signed anyway. Every one of them faced losing everything they owned – but they signed anyway.

Think about how little history demands of our generation in defense of those very same freedoms. We are not asked to give our lives – only a portion of our time until we have set things right. We are not asked to give our fortunes – just a portion of our resources to support the … causes that will restore our freedoms.

But our sacred honor – history does expect that of us in full – that we will focus our time and our resources and not slacken or tire until we have retrieved our liberty, restored it and passed it on inviolate to our children. Because ladies and gentlemen, if we fail that test, what history will demand of our children and grandchildren is unthinkable.

When Abraham Lincoln made his way to Washington, his train stopped in a little town in Ohio and he spoke these words to the folks who gathered there that day.

If he were here today, I think he would have said exactly the same.

He said, “I appeal to you, my fellow citizens, constantly to bear in mind that not with the president, not with the office-holders, but with YOU is the question, ‘Shall the liberties of our nation be preserved to the latest generation?”

“”Just Tax” - HQ Music Video - Lady Gaga Parody”

Video Description - Quote:

This is a song against racking up devastating national debt and massive government expansion. Please share ———

Here are the lyrics for those who requested them:
Yeah! Democrats in the White House. Remix.
Weve Spent a little bit too much.
All of this change has been a crutch.
Control your party man.
Spending is out of hand.
Youre gonna have to make some cuts.
Whats, going on on the floor?
Ive seen this same old type of overspending before.
Please dont mortgage our future away.
I dont know what to do,
I worry every day.

Just Tax, it will be ok.
Just Tax, spread that wealth around.
Just Tax, it will be ok.
Just Tax.

A billion here, a billion there.
When will the people start to care?
(Please start to care now)
This shouldnt happen man.
Go on and ask Japan.
Remember the 1990s. (Google it)
Spend your way out of debt.
Buy up the banks, the cars and toxic assets.
Wait, lets think this through.
(Think it through man)

Im getting paid and thats all good cause times are rough.
Got my paycheck and Im thinking about buying some brand new stuff.
Im short some dough, and wonder who is this FICA man.
I cant believe my eyes all the money thats going to Uncle Sam.

Governments broke but theyre still spending money.

Hey kids, its your Uncle Sam and Im in debt.
Big time. And I need your help. So give me your money.
Think that I can do that? Yes...I....Can.

Tax and spend it, idiotic.
Do it again, its robotic.
Complain for 8 years, ironic.
Get more in debt, its moronic.

Dont throw away the future by making even more debt.
(You just dont get it)
You need to slow, stop the spending wait 5 days be more transparent.
(Before you sign it)

(Obama: I think when you spread the wealth around, its good for everybody)

Just Tax
Just Tax, spread that wealth around.
Just Tax, it will be ok.
Just Tax.

QUOTE - Snippet:

http://www.teapartyday.com/News.aspx

How much is 1 trillion dollars?

A stack of one trillion one-dollar bills would reach 68,000 miles in space. If you spent $1 million dollars a day from the day Jesus was born until now, you would only have spent about three quarters of a trillion.

If you laid one trillion one-dollar bills end to end, it would make a chain from the earth to the moon 200 times. One trillion dollars would stretch nearly from the earth to the sun. It would take a jet flying at the speed of sound, reeling out a roll of dollar bills behind it, four years before it reeled out one trillion dollar bills. A million seconds is 11.5 days. A billion seconds is 32 years. A trillion seconds is 32,000 years.
