Size really doesn't matter, as a trio of Chihuahuas proved by cornering a full-grown, adult mountain lion in their owner's garage.
Ana Lee Spray of Sage, near Hemet, heard her three Chihuahuas barking in her garage and went to check out commotion. Spray was surprised to see the massive, angry cat hissing at her and her dogs and immediately took her pets inside.
Spray called 911 and officers from the Department of Fish and Game tranquilized the mountain lion. The big cat had to be tranquilized again after running from the garage.
Um. No. Terra. Earth-dog.
I remember listening to Rush one day, and a vet had called in, and she said as soon as a chihuahuas came in, she would IMMEDIATELY muzzle it because they were so viscous, and THANK GOD they weren’t s big as a pitbull!

That is a very accurate statement. I have a little toy chihuahua (is that redundant?). She only wieghs 7 pounds but she has the heart of a Doberman.

I had an old street cat I sort of domesticated. He had a kinked tail, some missing fur, a chipped tooth, and a piece gone from one ear. I also had a moron neighbor with 2 stupid beagles.
She’d let the beagles out every morning to defecate in the breezeway. Then they would tree my cat, for just a second, until he tore them both up at the same time. This happened every morning until she got evicted. I eventually bought a house and converted him into a housecat. He hated it at first but finally got used to air conditioning and meals he didn’t have to kill.

It is funny to read the posts about small dogs cowing big ones thinking the little dog is so tough.
Big dogs have been trained through history to not fight back. It has been breed into them.
If any one of you think a pit, german shepard or any other big dog can’t destroy your little dog or cat keep sniffing glue. They aren’t scared they have been breed and trained not to, not that they can’t.
I abhor dog fighting but I will find you one if you want to pitch your tough little dog or cat in there to see how long it takes before they become food.

I would never harm such a sweet (snarling, vicious, rabid) creature of nature.
Actually, what I've always noticed about them is that they don't seem to have a clue how small they are. They'll run right up to a German Shepherd or Great Dane or Rottweiler and start in with assertive and even aggressive barking and nipping. One of my vets has the most awesome picture in her office of a Great Dane and a Chihuahua. Both are on leashes, but the Chihuahua -- with teeth bared -- is straining against the leash to try to get at the Dane and show it who's alpha dog. The Dane, on the other hand, has it's leash drooping loosely and is looking at the crazed Chihuahua like "Hmmmm, I wonder what that little insect is so excited about".
I knew Chihuahuas and other micro-dogs could convince them*selves* that they're full-sized dogs. Had no idea they could convince a mountain lion.
The mountain lion should have dropped the chalupa
