V8’s were the rule not the exception.

They still rule.

Me too. Bought F at $1.50 a share, for the same reason. Congratulations!

The return paid for the down payment on a home we are closing on in a few weeks. I feel I owe F. A Bullitt Mustang may be in my future.

Have you seen “Gran Torino” yet? (the movie, I mean). Gotta see it..old Detroit neighborhoods and a classic American car. Thanks for the pics of the old Chevys.

I grew up during the golden age of American automobiles. The 50’s and 60’s. Goodness I loved those cars.

I remember my old 55 Ford with 272 would run like crazy and I could change the water pump in less than half an hour. I recently changed the one on my 302 and it took me two weeks and I had to take everything off the front of the engine. The newer ones are probably even worse.

The best car I ever had was a 65 Olds with 425 370HP engine. It went through my Father, my Brother, and finally me. I sold it with over 200,000 miles on it and it still ran like a bat out of hell. Never used oil and would cruise the interstate like it was idling.

GM was marketing the Camaro to gays to boost sales. Now no one wants to be seen in it (unless they’re gay).
