The movie shows the troops in a good light. You have some moralizing about the “agonies of war”, but nothing putting down the Second Iraq War itself.Wow. And Hollyweird is celebrating this movie. Go figure...

Yes, it was made for tv. I just saw it the one time they ran it back in ‘89, I don’t think I’ve seen it since. Too many of the other Nixons have been grotesque caricatures.
