I’ve already written my opus and it’s going to be the best and most final opus ever. It will be posted shortly after my demise, by one of my sons, who are both members here. It will be posted from my account. Good bye friends, nice knowing you but I won’t be back, I’m taking the long dirt nap now, etc. etc.

We’ve never butted heads in forum before (that I know), so you probably don’t recognize my nick. But I do recognize yours.

Would I “notice” if you stopped being a Freeper? I might not right away, but some Freepers would. And Free Republic would be lessened by your absence. I’d notice that.

In short, you do matter and you would be missed, even by people who didn’t know why there was a little more emptiness in their online world.

Thank you for your kind words. Heck I still miss A+Bert. He reminded me a lot of Lazamataz but was on the opposite side of the political fence. JimRob actually cut him a lot of slack early on but A+Bert couldn't control himself. And you are correct, FR has always had its share of eccentricity and plain old nut jobs.
