I do! Thanks for refreshing the old memory!

There have been so many favorites over the years. My all-time favorite, though, was Quidam. Never did figure out where s/he was coming from, but I loved the haiku.

No that was not his name. He was just a guy, a contractor I think, who stopped to take a leak in the park (I seem to remember) and he saw someone skulking around. Later on the news he heard that Foster's body had been found there and he realized he had been there right in the middle of it.

Been here since ‘68, what little I remember of the 60’s. Witness Protection changed my name and pseudonym in ‘99.

My group was giving out peach colored peaches with an orange string so you could tie the "I M Peach" logo right on your front pocket button (better shirts still had pocket buttons then ~ but any button would work).

We took HUNDREDS of those signs with us.

That was that gang of 20 or so Teens to Twenty Somethings of a decidedly East Asian/Eurasian Cast. Those kids came from Cambodia, Viet Nam, Thailand, Philippines, Big China, Korea, United States, etc. The basic group core is still together and still as Conservative as ever. They vote straight Republican.

I didn’t remember that guy. I did do a speech on the Foster murder evidence in a public speaking class I was taking at Montclair State at the time. That blew the professor’s mind and I also did a research paper on Chinagate in my pol. sc. class that infuriated my professor. Ah, back to the past..........

I didn’t see them but someone was giving out pieces of peach satin ribbons with straight pins like the aids ribbons near the Washington Monument when I got there.

From 99 to about 01 we had a crowd who feared the UN was bringing in an army.

Don't forget the Y2K fear mongers.

My husband (10/22/99) got me hooked. FR is my home page on all my browsers and all my computers.

Y2K did require me to replace the bios in every single stinking computer in the shop ~ we had several hundred of 'em.

People who didn't have to do anything about it just have no appreciation for what it really entailed ~ no, I didn't panic, but doggone, it happened.

If your computers were stinking, maybe it was time to replace them.

Figure of speech.

They got replaced a year later. Then two years later.

We never did get all the "2023" date situations cleared up, but I retired before that became any sort of a problem for me.

Just messing with you. Y2K tied up my companies programmers for quite some time. So much so that I got used to finding my own work around for stuff that I needed done, because I wasn’t going to get any programming.
