Was it really that necessary to focus on? This was the one I had seen before, never able to make it spin. Frankly, I’m with the other guy who thought she was a ballet dancer.

Hint, you’re supposed to look at the foot as the pivot.

I think you meant to ping Lazamataz, not Lazmataz.

I have a very hard time flipping the cat. The dancer is easier.

Right, that’s how I finally got it to work. After that, the cat did it too.

With some practice, I could make the tail “rotate” clockwise, while the body went the other way, LOL!

Cool - I tried - but can't do that one...

Any relationship between wearing glasses and not being able to see it reverse?

Beats me. I wear glasses and I can see the dancer both ways. The cat is much tougher, but I can do it with enough effort.

I showed this to a bunch of people and some of them could change her direction at will.

Right Brain v Left Brain

Spinning lady

Source: Herald Sun

THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

Lowering my gaze worked for me too.

But it doesn’t work if I focus on the subject.

Clockwise for me. But then I’m left-handed as well. Us southpaws are in our right mind. ;)
