A busload of people did nothing to stop a pack of teen girls from beating a pregnant teenager and her boyfriend despite pleas from the victims that she was carrying a baby. The behavior was caught on the bus' surveillance camera and later helped police in Seattle locate the five attackers.

"I'm shocked," said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff's Department. "The video is shocking to look at.

"The ferocity, the intensity, the unprovoked nature" is shocking, he said. "But what shocks me most is that these girls thought they could do this on a crowded bus with adults and do it with impunity."

Clearly a hate crime because the victim is singled out for no discernable reason. Everybody has earbuds in now days. I have long ago vowed NEVER to ride on a Seattle Metro Bus. If an incident happens, and they often do, the drivers are instructed not to get involved. Just to let the beating happen and let Seattle police handle the incident. A few weeks ago a ruffian was caught on camera harassing other riders, and then picking one out followed the gentleman off the bus, where he was beaten unconscious for no reason. The driver at no time got involved. Just let it all happen. It was a ruble video to watch. There are other incidents as well.

Even waiting for a Seattle bus can turn deadly.

A Seattle man who allegedly stabbed a stranger in a random attack last month has been charged with first-degree assault.

Tarvel Moyer, 38, was arrested on Nov. 24 for the attack in Des Moines. He is being held at the King County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.

According to Des Moines police, a woman was walking north in the 23000 block of Pacific Highway South toward the bus stop around 10 a.m. on Nov. 24 when Moyer approached her. Moyer mumbled something at the woman and then lunged at her, driving a knife into her chest. Moyer never said a word to his victim. He walked away after the attack.

The next event regarding this will be the obligatory prosecutor twisting himself into a pretzel to avoid pressing hate crime charges. "Well, it looks like robbery or something was the motive".

In this wacky Twilight Zone country in which we reside, an innocent bystander adult simply trying to HELP would probably be charged with a crime by some annoying Liberal.
A decent, good, and law-abiding person riding the bus to/from work simply doesn't wish to get their life jammed-up.

The Pastor of my church, who was an Army Ranger, (and he never tires of letting you know) - when he first moved to Seattle back in the mid 1990s was riding a Seattle bus through the city. A belligerent man was going up and down the aisle harassing passengers. When he approached my Pastor, he told the man to sit down and shut up. The man asked my Pastor, “Who the hell are you?”. My Pastor responded, “I am the Army Ranger that is going to make you sit down, or I am a Pastor. Which one do you want me to be?” The man sat down and behaved himself for the rest of the trip, getting off at the next stop.

I heard him tale that story in several sermons, and I never tire of it.

Of course these thugs and brats have carte blanche wherever Concealed Carry is not the right of the people to enact a citizen arrest. It stops cold where people are permitted to defend themselves and others.

WA State actually has one of the most liberal CCW laws on the books, and one of the oldest. We are a "shall issue" state. WA State is also an open carry state, even on public buses. The problem is that not enough people excercise that right, especially in the liberal outpost called Seattle.
