I don't think we should spend any time defending Republicans or Tea Parties, this is just playing defense. Instead we should decry how the calls for violence from liberals like Obama, Oberman, Koss, Ayers, et al have been acted upon by one of their followers resulting in death and mayhem. Every time any media person asks anything about the shooter/shooting, this should be the answer. Relentlessly decrying liberal violence, we should play offense for a change.

—the fact that many Republicans were “targeted”, visually, in ads/commercials by the democraps

But you’re right; conservatives must defend themselves (verbally, of course) against these attacks, and not just ignore them as Bush used to do. The left is as vitriolic as ever and will use this to their benefit. This is what they do best - play the “victim” card.

Just now on Geraldo (ugh), David Webb (founder of Tea Party 365) was rightfully slamming (politely:-) the Daily Koz, Paul Krugman, Linda Lopez and others of their ilk for spouting trash that the Tea Party movement and conservatives have been advocating and inciting violence. He said that, as public figures, they need to be responsible and apologize for such untrue rhetoric.

I have a sister who is a nice person but she totally guzzles the Leftist Kook Ade. She recently started talking about a Peckinpah movie she had watched: 'Inglorious Bastards', I believe, and she was going on about how violent it was, as if that would interest me.

She must have made the idiotic assumption that everyone who is not a Leftist is a violence freak, which was particularly disappointing in that I thought she was more intelligent, knew me better than that, and was not so prone to LW indoctrination as she apparently is.

I had to repeatedly tell her that I definitely did not enjoy gratuitous violence in my viewing, and that I make no effort to watch the gore and splatterfests that are so popular today, let alone the more extreme stuff like Peckinpah's.

After the Oklahoma City bombing, Republicans let themselves be turned against talk radio and each other because the press was so full of hate and need for vengeance after the 1994 elections.

I watched in horror when a left wing wacko in Phoenix was allowed to spread uncorroborated heresay against a conservative talk radio host after Oklahoma City and some Republicans were such cowards, they went along with the lynching of an innocent man...who never was allowed to defend himself......but was presumed guilty based on the testimony of one twisted witness who also believes that 9-11 was an inside job by the Bush adminstration.......

Of course...no witnesses for the defense were allowed...such as me....because the conservative talk radio host was presumed guilty, whereas listeners who were witnesses were dismissed as right-wing kooks, whose testimony was not to be trusted because...after all...you axtually listen to that hate.......being Republican and listening to talk radio meant you didn’t tell the truth and couldn’t know the truth...according to the press that believes we should trust, respect, and even appreciate them and love them! Not in this world and this life!!!!
