Yes. Yes, it was. With some words, you get to “perform” them instead of just defining them.

My favorite Jefferson quote is, “We are as numerous as the stars in the heavens, and we are all Gun Men.”

Shouldn’t the maximus go up to undecimus?

Since we are going Latin today, here's a link to a joke with a Latin connection that has gone viral:

Pincus the Tailor

Caveats (more Latin?):
1. It is several minutes long
2. Sound on
3. Adults only (language)

The mumpsimus
in search of his
share of the pie,
to Miami will fly.

Back to the campaign trail.....wonder if those rich Jews in Miami will flock to his speeches with their checkbooks?

Yep,

The money flow
has begun to slow.

One of my kiddos would argue with you that Jefferson was completely overrated and Alexander Hamilton was the man. Her dad goads her all the time about Jefferson. Yes, I live with history geeks.

Hamilton was brilliant. Jefferson was transformative.

They were such different types too. Hamilton was a completely self-made man and Jefferson was more of a Renaissance type.

We certainly were blessed with the caliber of Men that we were fortunate to have during the Birth of a Nation.....

Sad what we endure now.

It’s troubling what passes for reasonably intelligent too nowadays, especially in politics.
