P-Marlowe agrees with you. This thread was a satire.
To: P-Marlowe
Who is Rick Perry?
Is he Katy Perry's little brother?

I like Sarah Palin, but imagine if there were a destroy Palin thread. Ridiculous. Why not? There are a lot of Freepers who want to destroy her as well.
Maybe I'll do that thread tomorrow.

Hello P-Marlowe, it's been a long time! I have no hate for Perry. It is clear, however, he is not the most conservative player on the field today. And, for once, we don't have to worry about "appealing to the moderates" or "running with a unifier". Obama is destroying his electibility every time he opens his mouth. He will lose; there is no question about it. The left is even considering challenging him in their own primary. That's how big this landslide will be. So, how about for once, we pick the *most* conservative candidate possible and give that a shot? It hasn't been tried in how many decades? Not in my lifetime, anyway. We've been playing the progressive, compassionate, RINO conservatives and look where that has gotten us --- here today. Remember the definition of insanity. It's time to try something different.

You people are going to do nothing but re-elect Obama.
Please, sit down and be quiet and let the mature adults take care of it, ok?

I dont trust him on the illegals. If he does amnesty it is game over for the Republic. 30 million 3rd world mexicans plus their massive offspring will destroy the nation.
I like Bachmann but understand she probably stands little chance. Perry v Obama? Perry.

True freepers don’t want her or anyone else destroyed. Personally, I think Jim should send you packing for posting this crap. Have a great day.

As always the problem. The GOP is a mystery.
We know what Obama will do and that the GOP acts conservative while he is in office.
The problem arises when they have a GOP President. The GOP goes spend crazy.
If Perry gets elected. I suspect he will push for Amnesty.
I hope his Presidency fails if he goes left. And, if Perry does act like I think he will. The GOP is finished.

Perry has a fatal flaw - his support for amnesty and illegal immigration. Understandable, given the support he gets from the service industries and Chamber of Commerce who want the cheap labor.
It is OK with the Republican Establishment (think Bush/Rove/McCain/Graham), but it is a killer for generating grass roots support so necessary for a campaign and get out the vote efforts.
Nobody except the insiders worked for McCain because he treated conservatives as pawns. Obama’s people were everywhere.
Likewise, nobody will work for Perry, and Obama will win easy. Remember, this is not a problem for the Republican Establishment. They live well and will continue to live well even in a second Obama term. They will just wait until one of their RINOs eventually wins and they become the chosen people again. The rest of us however, will see our country disintegrate and our culture evaporate and our living standards decline.

This simple request is largely being ignored. (Wonder why?)
Maybe you should have used size 12 red bold. :-)

I’m interested in him as a viable candidate. Interested means I’ll follow him, read comments about him and even go to a rally-if he comes to California again. Gingrich has the “smarts” but has real character problems. Romney is a weather vane on perfect ball bearings. The rest of the Republican candidates current or possible seem to be not worth the time or effort.

I don’t know if Perry needs to toughen up for this campaign, but his supporters on here do. If you guys are like this now, God help you if he wins the nomination and the Chicago boys start in on him.
