On today's episode of the 700 Club, not-dead televangelist Pat Robertson was intrigued by a snippet from his co-host Kristi Watts' interview with Condoleezza Rice. Rice said her favorite Thanksgiving food is mac 'n' cheese, a sentiment that Watts seconded. So Pat Robertson hears this, notes that the two ladies' skins have similarly high melanin levels, and asks, "What is this mac 'n' cheese? Is that a black thing?" It is! It grows on trees, in Africa.

If we’re going to call for people to grow above political correctness and not be offended by casual comments like this, then we’d better get to it, give it the shrug it deserves, and move on.
It is true that mac and cheese (real, not the boxed stuff) is a soul food favorite, along with the equally delicious greens and ham hocks.
Different demographics do seem to gravitate to certain foods and flavors. I worked a Burger King when I was in High School and could bet my minimum wage check that every black customer would choose Hi-C orange as their beverage. It doesn’t mean that they all do but through observation I learned that most did. Just like most Italians like pasta.
Pat wasn’t being racist like the MSM want you to believe, he was being senile.
He honestly thought that Mac n’ Cheese was an ethnic food from africa in the same way sauerkraut is from Germany, Sushi is from Japan, and Polish Sausages are from Poland.
He is gettin’ old.
right you are..
Gawker.com. Is that a gay thing?
That tree also provides housing, medical, food, dental and education. It's the government tree. Macalicious.
Mac & Cheese go this white boy through college.
And I have not touched that crap for almost 25 years.
Just plain clueless.
He is a senile old man, who cares what he says? He’ll appear on that show in his underwear sooner than later. lol
There has been a spaghetti tree in downtown Phoenix at the Spaghetti Company restaurant for over 30 years.
You can bet that Condi was talking about a quality mac and cheese recipe like these:

Yes it is. :p
Mac n cheese has never been soul food. It’s been a southern or Tennessee staple as far back as I can remember. We always had ham and Mac n cheese at my friend’s house since I was a youngin’. Good stuff.
I love Mac n Cheese having it tommorrow!!!
Mac n cheese goes great with Kool-aid too. What flavor?
Red.
Pat, exit stage right or left, just get off the stage and go hang with other stooges like Jackson and Sharpton.
