A Texas woman was arrested after relatives said they caught her having sex with a 15-year-old boy on Thanksgiving Day. The scene unfolded at a family gathering held on the holiday at a house in Oakridge Forest Lane in Spring.

Police arrested Amanda Billiris, 23, after relatives said they witnessed her having sexual intercourse with the boy, the arrest report states.

The avid motorcycle racer has been charged with sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony, reports the Houston Courier.

According to the Texas Penal Code, if convicted, she faces between two to 20 years in prison. Ms Billaris may also be fined up to $10,000 if she is found guilty of the offence.

Billaris has been released on bond from the Montgomery County Jail. According to her own statements on the message boards at Motohouston.com, Mr Billiris, suffered serious injuries in a 2009 motorcycle crash when she was returning from a RideSmart event at Texas World Speedway which left her in a critical condition. She said she received a severe blow to the head and kidney injuries.

Ms Billiris, who once owned a white and pink honda, would regularly make posts on Motohouston.com, which is a discussion forum for Houston's local motorcycle riders. On her Facebook page, she lists her college major as 'Communication Studies - Interpersonal'.

They love anything that makes America look bad. This plays right to their tired stereotypes as well.

You gotta entertain the mob while Rome is burning or they might turn on you. Pointing the finger at America leaves them less time to consider their crumbling society.

Exactly. Can't imagine if the situation were reversed that the Houston Chronicle (for example) would run a piece with photos and details about some sex offender in England... and they've got plenty over there, for sure. But as you said, this story fits their needs.

It was very good almost all the way around. My only casting complaints were Molly Ringwald, Corin Nemec and, to a lesser degree, Rob Lowe.

Well... I have a soft spot for Molly Ringwald... My teenage years being in the mid-80's, I always thought she was hot. I still think she looks great. The acting - well, who cares... :-)

I agree with your complaint about Corin Nemec - he was not how I envisioned Harold. He got the awkwardness/annoying down OK, but not the look. If I remember the details from the book correctly, he was initially chubby.

I’m a man...and a child of the 80s.

And I think “Sixteen Candles” is one of the most funny movies ever made.

Not a fan of any of her other ones, but man...that movie portrayed 80s kids perfectly.

Except for the end. I cringe every time.

“Yeah you...”

“Statutory rape of a boy = ok”

Do you understand what the word “Statutory” means? It just means there is a law. Laws are not always right.

15 year old boys are RARELY a “victim” when it comes to having sex with a female even if she is over 18 years old.

The law says different, but sometimes laws tend to be stupid.

And BTW, yes it IS wrong for a 23 year old male to have sex with a 15 year old girl.

In case you haven’t noticed, boys and girls are different.

Do I think it is appropriate for a 15 year old to be engaging in such behavior? No I do not. If he were MY son he would be in a world of trouble. But this is a moral issue. It shouldn’t be a legal issue. In this case the 15 year old is just as guilty of immoral behavior as the 23 year old (unless the 15 year old is mentally or developmentally handicapped in some way). So why does SHE go to jail and he does not? Makes no sense at all.

I understand why there are age of consent laws. The problem with them is that they do not take all the circumstances into consideration. They set an arbitrary number and that is it.

It was after I re-read the series that I came to that conclusion on Wizard and Glass. I wish he would write a Wizard and Glass, Part II. There is still a gaping hole in the story about Farson and how he defeated the gunslingers.

I remember when I first got my hands on the first book. I couldn't put it down. When I finished, I immediately went out and bought the second. Upon completing that, I immediately bought the third. When I finished that one, I went to the bookstore and discovered that the fourth had not yet been written. After each passing year, I hated Stephen King more and more because after three books, Roland was still 8,500 miles from his Tower.

The only reason he finished the series is because he got sick and tired of receiving letters from readers reminding him of his promise to write seven books. You could notice a shift with book five as it began to venture from a believable futuristic story into one that defied reason. Reading on, you soon discover that villain Flagg shows up, completely out of character, and then you realize you've been had. I really wish now that I had stopped at five.

Should 15 year olds be allowed to vote?

To drink?

To buy weapons?

To run for president?

Why not...the law is just a number.

Perhaps 10 year olds should drive?

And why are all these things bad ideas? Because they’re not mature enough for the responsibility.

Kind of like having your adult aunt come on to you. Or any older woman.

But hey, 15 year olds are wise in the ways of love. Just like voting, drinking, and driving.

Why in the world is this getting such extensive coverage in the English press? Weird. Anything salacious to sell their rag, apparently.

Possibly, but they often cover our political arena far better than the MSM. The Brits haven't as much of an agenda.

I was the same. The hunger for the series continued until the 6th book. By the 7th I was just reading to finish what I started.

So sadly, I already know that King really screwed it up in the 7th book. I bought the 6th and 7th as soon as they were printed, unfortunately.

By the way, a 23 year old man having sex with a 15 year old girl (his wife) would have been a lot more common in our past than the other way around.

So it seems despite your yearning for the old ways, you’ve got it exactly backwards.

“Since 2011-11-09

Welcome to FR.

Now stop being a dick.”

I bow before your wisdom. I didn’t realize that anyone who disagreed with you in a reasonable manner was a “dick.”

Ipse dixit.

My favorite quote.

“You don’t have to destroy your enemy...just his willingness to engage.”

I’ll take your evasion as the sign of you quitting the field. I won’t mention that your acceptance of older women seducing boys springs from your desire to you yourself be a victim of such a woman.

I’ve met the type.

You introduce yourself with the name of a friend who lives in another town and have an evening of incredible fun.

It’s not so good for your friend, when she tries to track “you” down.
