The right to bear arms is an actual right that is actually written in the constitution. But although the federal government has protected that right for over 200 years, it has never forced every man woman and child to own a gun, nor has it ever forced any gun distributor or manufacturer to distribite guns to every person for free.

Obama has added +18 to his already overwhelming lead among single women since this started. Obama was leading this demographic 54-37 in November. He is now leading 65-30.
In 2008, there were 30.5 million single female voters. In 2012, this number may well be larger.
This issue, essentially invented by Obama and Axelrod, is a gigantic winner for their side, and they will ride it as long as they can.
It was planned this way by the people who wrote the health care bill. The whole idea is to add up enough mandates that it busts the insurance companies and makes everybody dependent upon government for their care.
As things stand now, am I the only one in this group that is wondering wether to drop my insurance and just pay cash?

Santorum had been in Congress for 16 years. Find a SINGLE time where Santorum, in public life, called for banning or otherwise regulating contraceptives (except maybe to kids without parents knowing about it).

Ignore it. They blew their wad too soon, by the time real votes are being cast in October this “issue” will be played out. They really screwed up driving this thing so hard in February, the life span of a wedge issue is 1 month, 2 if it’s really juicy, then the public gets bored, then they feel badgered.
Ask “Where’s my free gun? It’s clear the second amendment gives me the right to have one, so someone needs to pay for one for me. “
Actually, Obama would have a more solid constitutional argument saying he has the authority to force Insurance Companies to provide free guns. Considering that the constitution guarantees the right to own one. Birth control, and health care in general is mentioned nowhere in the constitution.

When did it become a right to have the public pay for other people’s birth control and abortions? (Because this is an end run around the govt directly paying for abortions - just mandate the taxpayers do it through mandated health coverage.)

We have a privileged superclass of people in America that can commit legal murder just because they have a uterus. That has to end.
Another argument to have, & one we should be having is: What is INSURANCE for? Insurance is for catastrophic events. We don’t buy car insurance & use it for oil changes or routine maintenance. Health insurance should be the same - it should be purchased for a catastrophic event that would require hospitalization or surgery. Routine check-ups & incidental medicines (including birth control) should be paid out of pocket.
We should be telling our congressman to allow us Medical Savings Accounts out of which we can pay for things like mammograms & colonoscopies & birth control. And then insurance would kick in for the big stuff.
Non catholic women of child bearing years to have a legitimate gripe. Insurance does not pay for BCPs which I am fine with, on the other hand, in contrast to about every other drug category, there are, in general, no inexpensive generics to fall back on.
I can take a $4 generic for my blood pressure but BCPs run $40 and much higher per month.
Keep in mind, this is just an economics argument, and I am not commenting on morals or ethics.
The drug companies have been screwing women on birth control. (sorry, couldn’t resist). The Republican candidate should be aware of this ongoing frustration and use it as a positive. I would like to see the candidate just say, that he will pave the way for approval of low cost generics, this should settle down all but the left wing fanaticss.
Ask if they oppose capital punishment. (save the gang bangers)
Ask them if they support protecting whales. (save the whales)
Ask them if they support protecting polar bears. (save the UN global warming agenda)
And them if they support protecting wetlands. (save the swamps)
Ask them, if they oppose hunting. (save Bambi)
Probably they’ll even support vegans. (save the cows)
Then ask them if they support babies.
