San Francisco, CA (AP) -- A 38-year-old San Francisco man is facing charges after his SUV jumped a curb and crashed into the waters of San Francisco Bay early Sunday.
A police spokesman says witnesses told officers that the man, identified by police as Agatito Hernandez, was doing "donuts" with his vehicle when it crashed into the bay in the city's Fort Mason area around 3 a.m.

I live in the Bay Area and am familiar with the politics of “the world’s largest outdoor lunatic asylum,” as Lee Rodgers used to call San Francisco.
Aha. I lived in the bay area for 12 years and in San Francisco for the last 7 of those. I escaped in 2008, but not with my sanity intact. It took its toll.
I detest bay area and don’t even visit. I have an extreme love/hate relationship with the bay area. The neighborhoods, beach, bay, parks, old homes, restaurants, and driving roads are wonderful.
Most of the people are rude, greedy, stressed, opportunistic, unfriendly, elitist, ill-mannered, and inconsiderate. I could go on right down to their political liberal bed-wetting utopian socialist mindset.
I am only half joking when I say I can’t wait for the 8.0 earthquake to wipe Baghdad by the Bay back into the pacific ocean, but then I still know many people there and I would not want to see anyone endure the level of suffering that will caused by the big one, so I would rather not see it occur in my lifetime. Since it is inevitable, a when not if, I can only hope I am spared seeing the immense destruction it will bring.
However, I am looking forward to the waning political influence the bay area will experience after the big quake and I am sure that many of the victims of looting and violent crime will suddenly become big 2nd amendment supporters, and many others will begin to understand the benefits of conservatism.
In your apocalyptic scenario, you probably imagine the entire coastline breaking off, taking the liberals with it. I propose that it wouldn’t take more than 20 years for California to become an identical, if slimmer version of its former self. The new coastline will once again attract the crazies, the creative people, and the radicals. People like that are drawn to places with dramatic scenery, earthquakes and beautiful weather.
That explains Sedona, AZ. Well, the dramatic scenery part, at least.
You’re not from the north, are you?

It’s fun......
“Youre not from the north, are you?”
Boy, I am just not getting this, sorry. I am from NY but live in Az for long time now.
Never heard of ‘donuts’ as in driving crazy like this, lol. How one could do this and go over the edge into the bay mystifies me.
What has the north got to do with it?
True, but it would be long enough for my planned jailbreak. I should be retiring in 10 years.
That said, I wonder how fast the bay area will come back after the big one.
I mean, it’s only logical that after the once-in-a-hundred-year seismic event, you are good and safe for another hundred years. But that is also true of New Orleans, and you don’t see the commie libs flocking back to the big sleazy. People aren’t logical.
So I think a lot of people would leave the bay area due to the suffering they endured from the quake and a lot of people who planned to move in, would put if off. I bet it would take 30 years for the bay area to repopulate. One generation. Basically a bunch of young people too far removed from it to really remember or appreciate the carnage.
She is a perfect fit for another commie lib on the top bench. Perfect fit. Another evil hag who creates law out of whole cloth where it doesn’t exist and is to the left of Angela Davis.

He has teardrop tattoo on the side of his face...Isn’t that gang language for killing a rival?
By the way, no I don’t see a vision of the western sliver of California slipping into the ocean.
I see all of the landfilled areas of San Francisco liquifying and sinking a foot or 2 into the bay.
I see another raging fire burning unstoppably through the city. In the Loma Prieta earthquake, most water mains broke in the Marina District, so the SF Fire Dept. could not use hydrants to fight the fires. They had to use the fire boats pumping sea water. That only goes so far and won’t do much to save the city.
I see an entire city population terrorized by looting and criminals afterward, unable to promptly and peacefully distribute the food and medicine necessary for short term survival after the quake.
After everything settles down again, I see a lot of terrified, traumatized young children who can’t sleep because they constantly fear another quake to the point that mom and dad leave for greener pastures just to save the kid’s mental state.
Then there are all the less intelligent types who will slam the barn door shut after the horses are gone. They are the ones who will move out of the bay area for flood country or twister country, and don’t think through that the big earthquake has another 100 years to go before it levels San Francisco again.
I keep saying San Francisco, but it could be Berkeley and the east bay that actually gets the worst of it. Nobody knows where the epicenter will be for this earthquake, so it could be more damaging to the peninsula or it could be more damaging to the east bay. We can’t know. All we do know is that it is inevitable, it is coming, and it is coming sooner than later because it is already over due.
It can mean that...It can also represent someone being killed in your family. There are also other potential meanings (in prison) that aren't suitable to discuss on this board. Also, it can just be a poser who's trying to look tough.
