My friend out in New Mexico set up an automatic game camera aimed at his water pans he puts out for birds. This is a snap he got last night of a Bobcat carrying a hapless mouse...it's very cute :-)
Here in southwest Colorado and northwest New Mexico, some people keep Bull Snakes in their basements to take care of the mice.
Thanks for sharing that smiling picture is TOO cute!
That rat is plenty screwed. Cool bobcat pic.
Awesome! What’s the story on Lilith? I’m dying to know!
Bob the Cat is performing a community service.
So...do eyes reflect after death, or is the rat still alive? I’m assuming the reflectivity doesn’t go away...but I don’t actually know, so I’m asking! :)
Looks like the rat is saying, “Guys?? Help? Hey, guys...??”
the rat’s head is up and the eyes are still reflecting. Alive for a few more minutes.
Declawed/Defanged?
More likely a deer mouse:
They can carry the hantavirus which is mostly fatal to humans.
Have a friend that was well on his way to having a tame
bobcat...a friend of his came to his house and saw the
bobcat and shot the animal..almost came to blows
Beautiful cat and pretty darn good arrowhead collection
you had/have

I am a bit surprised that this picture shows the cat wandering through the 'inhabited' part of the property, the trash can and the bird bath in the picture. Our local forest ranger says he has never seen one in the wild in 15 years so it is a rare occasion to actually 'catch' one.
I believe the 'mouse'/'rat' is actually a vole which is a cousin to the varmints. Mice are much smaller and rats are much bigger.
Good picture.
Voles don’t have a long tail.
Here is another chance to post my favorite bobcat video:

I stand corrected. In any case the fewer varmints the better. We also live in New Mexico and they play hell with my Ford F250 wiring and the garden. Kudos to the bobcat.
Looks like a deer mouse...I’d suspect that’s a momma
cat taking her catch back to her litter for a lesson
the kittens must learn.
Lilith was found on the side of the road beside her dead mother who had been hit by a vehicle.
Spayed only.
