Famed hair stylist and fashion icon Vidal Sassoon was found dead at his Mulholland Drive home, authorities said.
Law enforcement sources said Sassoon, 84, died after an unspecified illness and that family were by his side. No details further details were immediately available.
Sassoon, hugely influential in the hair care and fashion worlds, was the subject of a 2010 documentary.

He'll never have another one.
When I was in jr high school I had a Sassoon haircut when they first came out. It was very avant garde. Probably the only time in my life I was “fashion forward” - very few other girls had them. And I did get a lot of attention.
It’s more than reasonable to assume that ANY guy who is a hair stylist, you might say, “bats for the other team”.
But this guy fought in the war for Israel’s independence (and survival) - sorry but he gets high marks in my book, and he’s likely not a queer.
