WE MUST FIGHT THE GOOD
FIGHT AGAINST THIS INVASION
OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY
BY THE ROMNEYZOMBIES

In a comment to the author of this thread, and speaking to the subject of Libertarianism, I commented in this vein that, "Republicans don't need a Libertarian to tell them that Romney is ripping the very heart of the Republican Conscience right out of the body of the Republican Party." (source)

The Reagan Conscience to be precise.

The moment that idea formed in my mind, I remembered this dramatic scene from "The Matrix" movie series, where "Agent Smith", who represents an agent of darkness and slavery, had thrust his hand into the heart of "Neo" the movie's hero, for the purpose of converting him to another mind-numbing agent of the darkside, and I remembered the special effects were superb, and that this scene would serve as a very dramatic metaphor for what is going on in the Republican Party today.

I share this scene here, for the purpose of offering some encouragement to what appears to be the embattled minority, to continue to stand our ground in a determined manner, with the hope of victory blazing brightly at the center of the mind's eye, to block the RomneyZombies efforts to take over the Republican Party.

In the screen-captured image below, you see where Agent Smith has thrust his hand into Neo's heart, and the darkness is spreading out throughout his whole body, and is nearly consuming him, but he gathers together his inner strength (which can only come from his strong belief in, faith in, and trust in God) and drives the darkness back. This scene is about 2:50 into the clip. Be ready to turn up the volume on your system as the sound track in this clip is very low, and you need to hear every word spoken before the major fight scene begins.

)

See how Neo resists the taking over of his heart, yet he still has a battle to fight. And it is a dramatic battle too. The battle ebbs and flows, for a moment victory seems certain, the next moment defeat seems certain, the next moment the hope of victory bursts alive again, and then it is dashed again as more Agent Smiths arrive on the scene.

Of course it is all allegory. The circle he draws around himself in the end, is an allegory for God.

The moral of the story, is that while you must fight, while you must defend your core priorities in God, you cannot win without the Power of God which you cannot access without obedience to His Laws. That is the symbolism of the circle. It is the circle of the Law, the circle of God-Reality, that is where victory and freedom reside.

And yes, to surrender your purpose to the darkside, the purpose that God has placed in your heart, is to die.

The significance of Agent Smith's initial dialog, is in the fact that the dark side will adapt to the appearance of a real threat, and use deception to get the individual to lower his guard, allowing the enemy to gain access to the heart of the opponent, i.e. to his priority system.

This interesting capacity of Agent Smith to endlessly replicate himself speaks to this phenomena of the darkside capturing the hearts of more and more members of the Republican Party, making them into RomneyZombies, totally unthinking, though stubborn, and relentless, adherents to their leader, Willard M. Romney.

Does it phase them in the least that they bow and scrape before a man whose first name is also the title of a horror movie where the nemesis releases an army of rats on his enemies? No. Everybody will remember Bloody Thursday in exactly that way, except them.

The people who have truth still in their hearts, they must defend it. They must fight off the Agent Smiths. And they must come to terms with the source of their true inner strength, which is the Power of God through the intercession of the Lord Christ, whose universal desire and purpose is to raise each Child of God into the domain of Sonship under God, to thus empower them unto the victory in this ongoing battle between the forces of good and evil.

If that power does not start flowing through them now, as it did through Neo for the victory, the soul of the Republican Party will be lost.

The story of Neo is the story of a regular person, drawn into a great battle for freedom, who has to come to terms with who he really is, a Child of God, Heir to the Kingdom, and the representive of the Most High in the earth, with the power to match. Yes, Neo has to figure out what it really means to believe.

Please take a moment to watch this video clip. It provides a great framework for understanding what is going on in the Republican Party today.

“absolutely, lets all go out and vote for the communist Obama.”

Couldn’t agree more! Nothing like a good hard core communist to fix things. Imagine America is ill, Obama is the cancer. What do you do? More Obama! We’ll just kill the patient and hope for a resurrection.

The recurring problem with the “Romney? NEVER!” crowd (which I was a part of) is that they don’t address the greater problem for which Romney is the only viable (however undesirable) solution to. They never say “Obama is better”, and “neither” isn’t a viable option ‘cuz we’re gonna end up with one of the two.

Let me try this analogy:
Would you consent to getting knocked out, having your ribcage broken open, your heart pulled from your chest, and arteries severed by strangers? He11 no! You’d be _crazy_ to consent to such a thing.
Except I did. The alternative to that was congestive heart failure.

The “Romney? NEVER!” crowd, while they have piles of valid points I wholly agree with, is not addressing the “congestive heart failure” our nation will suffer if we don’t choose him.

If Romney doesn’t get more votes than Obama, we get something worse than Romney. If you don’t vote for Romney, that’s one less vote adding up to beating the less desirable incumbent. Yeah, you’re not voting for either, we get that ... but we’re gonna get the O if you don’t.

Too late.

Conservatives are the RINOs now. The party as a whole doesn’t want our values, our thoughts.

All they want is our money and our votes, and for us to shut the hell up and fall in line.

And like a co-dependent, abused wife, who is told; “You got no place else to go, and you are too dumb to make it on your own.” most of us will do just that.

(not I)

but we’re gonna get the O if you don’t.

So... it's the same old republican line once again... "You've GOTTA vote for me, 'cause you don't want that OTHER guy!!!" So, say we vote for the republican.. once again.. then what?

Oh, yeah.... it'll be: "You've GOTTA vote for me, 'cause you don't want that OTHER guy!!!"

Except for the word "now", you are 100% correct. I used a similar sentence as a tag a few years back and was excoriated for it, so be ready....the flames are coming.

What those of the Republican Party who are not followers of Christ do not understand is that as a follower, it is impossible for us to stand before the Savior who died for us and explain how we could publicly support someone who is a liar, has the blood of the innocent unborn on his hands, and supports homosexuality, which our Lord God hates.

Not an option.

You got a better option?

No, you don’t.

Yes, I know “vote for R or you’ll get O” sucks. I am very familiar and sympathetic with the reasoning. I also know that O is that much worse.

If we get Mitt, we’ll then struggle to swing him to the right. That’s better than struggling to keep the nation intact and out of CWII.

And ... you make my point again. You’re so bent out of shape about Mitt that you fail to address the incumbent whom Mitt is the only hope of dislodging - and the grave importance of doing so.

Superb analogy!

I actually started a thread here to provoke a positive discussion on how we might reform the delegate allocation process to make it more friendly to the GOP base.

You can go there and see the results. About one third of the posters even wanted to discuss the topic. The remaining two-thirds wanted to p*ss and moan about the latest RINO wing nominee.

And we wonder why we are losing.

By my count, the RINO wing of the GOP has chosen every nominee in the post World War II era except for three: Goldwater (1964) and Reagan (1980 and 1984).

And we act like it is the exception and not the rule.

Too many self-proclaimed conservatives are focused on p*ssing and moaning about the latest RINO wing offering rather than reforming the process to make sure states which actually deliver electoral votes to the GOP in the fall have more to say about who we select as the nominee. We have a golden opportunity to reform the process now, but the whiners would rather p*ss and moan about the latest RINO nominee instead.

And we wonder why we are losing.

God views ALL as equal sinners.

You’re not going to give up voting entirely forever, are you?

This election was lost to conservatives not when Romney won, but when no viable conservative showed up at the beginning of the primaries.

You can't win with nobody....

You got a better option?

The answer is NO. They do not have a better option.

But trying to get them to admit that Obama is therefore their default choice is near impossible.

Only those who argue that the end of the American Republic is near and that we might has well accelerate the process by electing Obama have a rational, albeit insane, position. They are, in effect, looking forward to a successful Civil War that will restore Constitutional Government. I view that as a fantasy at least at this point in time.

But most just beg off with some nonsense about Romney not having the nomination sewed up yet.

You’ve said it all perfectly, but the Romney fans won’t hear you, I’m afraid. They are crippled by their fear.

"If we get Mitt, we’ll then struggle to swing him to the right."

I keep hearing that from good people forced into a hopeless situation.

Just one question: How? Writing letters? Posts on internet forums?

Beyond sending as many real conservatives to House & Senate as possible, I'd like to hear one practical and legal way to force a President to pay attention to people that he doesn't much like.

A good friend once described the condition of this country as:

The toilet has been flushed, the water is circling. Who you vote for will either speed the circling or slow the circling.

The water in the bowl will still swirl; the toilet still completes its flush.

That's just one theory, anyway.
