When I went to get my daughter a puppy I jokingly told my wife I was gonna name him "Hurley" because of the awesome character on Lost (who uttered the most awesome quote ever on a TV series!)

We picked up the dog at the Dog Pound (we believe in rescuing animals rather than buying from pet stores and the like) a little mixed breed Half Yellow Lab/Half Shepherd (what type of Shepherd we aren't sure)...

My mom drove and I held the puppy for his trip home in the car and he got a bit overexcited and promptly threw up on me. I told my wife and daughter and they laughed and said well it may have been a joke but it was karma so the name stuck! So "Hurley" is our resident clown and all around ball of excitement and a loving companion and we would be lost without him!

BTW "Hurley" has perfected the art of Building a "Pillow Fortress"...!

Aww, I kind of imagine that Hurley in dog form would be a bulldog.

BTW, what’s your favorite Hurley quote? The “let’s look death in the face and say “whatever, man”” one?

Our clan is Hurley from Co. Limerick. My niece recently acquired a lab-something and named him “Hurley.”. My sister is a daily golfer. They found an abused beagle on the side of the road. After a vet visit, they called her “Mulligan.”

What eyes! We know who always gets his way at your house.

From here on out, I’m going to be real careful what I name my fur kids. They invariably live up to it.
