Banning or account suspension appears to involve the terms in which the violence was couched, the mod’s mood, the identity of the individual poster, the point in time of the election cycle and a few other factors. I requested to be put on the zot ping so that I could distill the essential criteria for zotting. Am still mystified in some cases. Still don’t understand the definition of “personal attacks.”
Have you noticed that there appears to be a paucity of Spanish-speaking bots on this site?

Wow, I wish I had said that! I just referred to the number of expressions that should be in any self-respecting bot’s allowance for doubtful accounts. Did you study or is Spanish your first or second language? (With fourteen verb tenses, I can assure you that I don’t know my head from my elbow from lol!)

I was reading the thread you posted on about the sleeping beauty beatdown.
I can understand why you were growing frustrated. You have to realize that people will get a little irrational in defending whatever position they’ve perhaps unintentionally taken.
But the hard part to realize is that this cold observation applies to your own understanding of the situation as well.
From my emotional distance, I understood what you were saying, but you were for all intents and purposes addressing your posts to a brick wall.
Try not to let it upset you. People will continue on a losing argument simply out of inertia. They aren’t really defending the position, they’re just maintaining the argument.
Negative attention is attention. Some people appreciate that the way normal people appreciate praise.
