Listen...I've been doing this stuff for over 2 decades. Don't get your knickers in a twist because you put together a pretty worthless "forecast" and someone disagreed with it. You will see in the end...and I may even come back and give you an "I told you so". This storm is coming ashore somewhere along Jersey...possibly as far south as N DE coast...and as far north as NYC...but probably near ACY. This creates the worst possible funneling affect down Long Island Sound.

And if you think you can even touch me with global warming...give it a try. I will make you chase your tail so much you'll make butter. Only climatologists on the Gov't dole and clueless TV "weather broadcasters" believe in AGW. Most operational mets do not....and I am one of that vast majority.

it was the Obama controlled government agency NOAA making it up.

No, no, NO! You misunderstand!

The storm was made, not made up, by Obama's NOAA using HAARP to control it. They took control of Cheney's weather machine, and are steering it into areas where they have already herded the Dems into early voting. It is an evil plot to disenfranchise Republicans who were waiting for election day to vote. < /tinfoil.

Unfortunately, I DID see a video along those lines at Infowars last night; too idiotic even for George Noory to broadcast.

Every media outlet is using fake Doppler and such animations that look real. They are not disclosing that they are models and not real. Very deceptive.

Go jump in a lake.

Better yet - come on over here and help us removing debris when the flood waters recede.

Because I’m not blaming the full moon for storm surge? Does it matter whether its full or not? It’s still there with the same gravitational effect.

It’s not half as powerful as Katrina was supposed to be. If the old levies hadn’t failed, that bowl would have stayed okay. Just because it is the east coast the MSM is putting on a spectacular show. People are acting like it is the first time water ever fell from the sky.

The hyperbole is what is amazing. ‘We never ever ever ever ever saw anything this bad in the history of the planet!’

11” storm surge... Katrina had 30” as someone pointed out and if those levies didn’t fail, nobody would remember it.

Nobody is doubting that there is a storm and that’s its dumping a lot of water. That isn’t exactly unprecedented. We get storms here. Power gets knocked out. Twisters are formed. We watch for rotation on weather radar. We marvel at how hail can fall when its spring or summer. People lose roofs, car windows shatter, low lying areas flood (we have well known flood plains and such, everyone knows where they are when the pump-houses and ravines aren’t enough)

Acting like its the first time, as if nobody has ever dealt with it before or as if they are totally unprepared has to be amazingly short-sighted.

Cities have snow plows and sand trucks because winter comes.

Flood plains, ravines, pumphouses etc are there because heavy rains do come.

It’s happened before.

We have fire departments. We don’t have TV news crews freaking out at every house fire as if its the first time anyone had ever seen fire before.

You know what else was in the news? Electric utility trucks from states all over the midwest being dispatched to the east in preparation for the damage. I am sure that every state and city is on alert. I am sure that evacuations have happened. I am sure that generators and supplies have been sold.

It’s not the end of the world. We have experienced things like this before. Let’s not freak out about it. Like a football player who goes nuts in the end zone... “stop it... just hand the ball to the ref and get to the sideline... act like you have been there before”

I don’t lack empathy. I am just being optimistic about it.

Kind of late there? I can still go to bed and get almost 8 hours of sleep before taking the kids to school in the morning!

This is the worst trash I have ever seen posted. This is a dangerous storm. Get you head out of you butt. Obviously you are not on the East Coast. Ocean City is ALREADY seeing flooding and it has not even hit yet. I recommend you pull this trash.

It is going to have a negative economic influence.

Your epic denial and poo pooing of this storm reaches the same level of ridiculousness as the media’s non coverage of Benghazi.

Storm or not...the media AIN”T gonna cover Benghazi anyway.

Your fellow FReepers are gonna be directly affected by this storm. This massive, once in a lifetime, major Big F’in deal of a storm. It will cost lives. It will destroy property. Your tax dollars will go to put back what Sandra destroys....and to pay the salaries of the useless azz FEMA bastages that will work it.

But more importantly...again...it will affect your fellow FReepers...your fellow Americans...your fellow human beings. Some may lose friends and family. Some may lose houses..belongings...picture albums.

Your denial only serves to make YOU look ignorant and classless. Your placing politics above human suffering only serves to make YOU look classless and shallow.

If you got a beef with the media...take it to the media. Bitch at them. Like I said....even if Sandra didn’t exist...and she does...the media still will ignore Benghazi. It’s what they do.

Your and the others on the forum posting such ridiculousness only serves to give us all a bad name. You’re making us all look like ignorant jackasses. Do us a favor. Take it to CNN.com. At least your senseless braying would fill some purpose.

Every word you are posting here could be used to educate another American about Benghazi instead...like you claim the media ain’t doing.

Have a good day...sir.

I hope those NOAA aircraft dump soap, because this is the best chance to clean up NYC in a while.

:p

You still don't get it.

There isn’t enough soap on this planet to accomplish anything significant in that city. :)

Everybody knows about Libya already....it has been almost 2 months. This storm is not even a week yet. Stop being selfish for God’s sake. Libya will get tons more exposure than Sandy and already has had 100 X the amount.

It’s gonna rain. I lived in Smyrna, TN 2 years ago and watched that water go past me on the Stones River. That feeds Percy Priest Reservoir which supplies Nashville Proper. Water will flood, especially in a controlled area. 15in at my house in 48hrs.

Just be ready. Live by the water, take your chances. This storm is more about water than anything. It is also an event that can be easily managed. The Hype is overwhelming. Let me know if 40 tornadoes rip through like Elana had produced.

Negative economic influence? Not for everyone....

There is a reason why the media hypes storms and that is about money. Sad but true. Get really creative, and take it a few steps further. If you had connections, you don’t think you could profit from real or fake storms?

Hell folks. Our own govt pulled that YouTube stunt and got away with it for weeks. They manipulated it, and apparently nobody fact checks....

I hear all these science geeks telling us that this that and the other is going to happen. The same junk science we laugh at when it is their global warming crap.

Should we really believe this.? Do we have a choice? It appears like speaking I’ll of a storm is now immoral or illegal. Like a flat earth thing....
