I did fine and power wasn’t an issue for me. Flickering lights...but never really lost it. Yesterday though we lost internet and phone for awhile!

Several neighbors have 50 year old pine’s come down on their houses and I’m waiting for the weekend to clean up the forest that fell in my backyard.

Getting around to see clients was a challange in Olmsted Falls, Westlake, and Rocky River area. One client was upset because I refused to walk their dog with all the trees and powerlines down in their area! I had activated our Code Red Response program early on Sunday evening. It did upset me that they thought if I could get there ...then they’d get a full service visit...AND they were flippin’ home themselves!

CRR specifically states to call/text the mobile, so our care teams can focus on client pets/homes who are actually out of town or may be First Responders, nurses, doctors etc. Suspect I am going to get a bad review on Angie’s List, but I fired the client on the spot! You know I was at the end of my rope...between securing pets and homes for clients out of town and making rounds to make sure clients didn’t need help themselves...

Ugh.../rant off.

Rural northern Fairfield County CT lost power Monday night but my generator is powering the essentials. Minimal damage but for a few trees that took down power. Most populated areas are powered up, gas stations have gas, and we should be back on line soon.

Things are all right here in NE Ohio.

Glad you are OK. We need the rain in Texas. Send any extra our way.

My Mom and stepfather live outside Newburg, PA. They have a number of heavily wooded acres. They moved their cars to a neighbors with no trees, and spent the storm with a neighbor who has a basement. Good thing. They lost twelve very large trees, one flattened the storage shed that they store their camping supplies in, and one struck a glancing blow on the house and damaged the roof so they had some pretty good rain come in. Cars are okay only because they relocated them. The transformer from the powerline on their rural road was still laying in the road as of yesterday. They’ve been told not to expect power until sometime late next week. Once my stepfather put a temporary fix on the roof and got things set up with the insurance company, they headed to my sister’s place down near Lancaster.

My 80+ year old 2nd cousin in Bellmawr NJ did all her prep, said her prayers and went to bed and slept through the whole storm. She was completely fine. My other PA and Virginia Beach relatives all reported no problems.

Sincere appreciation from the North Shore of LI. We have no power or heat and lost a tree but no structure damage and everyone is okay. My grandson and i cleared the tree within hours and then cleared a couple of others on the street. Our neighborhood is a pretty good one viv a vis cooperation with those who have power helping those who don’t. We farmed the kids in the house out to family with services because it is getting cold. Gas is the problem...there is none to be had. Ther are two other guys on my street who have LEO or USMC on their CV and we are on the same page should zombies from the city try to take advantage...but the odds of any trouble are really very small...NY is not NOLA.

We drove to Queens last night to drop the two grands at middle daughter’s place. We passed only two stations with gas. The cars were lined up for blocks and there were over 100 individuals with cans in hand lined up around the block.

I thankfully have a hook in and got it on the QT at 6:30 am. Saw staggering lines like no one would believe.

You do what you have to in this circumstances.

NYC metro area is a textbook study on what NOT to do in most instances.

I’m not at all surprised by any of this. Having lived in the Bronx most of my life, i still feel like an outsider to these leftist crack pots and useless idiots.

Middle of Orange county here.
Got power back yesterday.
But only because the phone company [Frontier] got tired of putting fuel in a generator plugged into their phone box out front while Orange and Rockland Utilities insisted that “Only three people are without power on that road.”

Gas line in Montague New Jersey was an hour long, both gas stations.
Same at the Matamoras PA stations.
Middletown New York gas stations weren’t worth hitting, long lines, short tempers, and prices jacked up to the extreme last I saw.

Local damage: Hemlock pine is laying down and pining or the fjords, fence is not fencing anymore, some shingles on the outbuilding are gone.
Historic Fort Gardner, a stone building down the street, has the north wall stove in on the back addition.

Ain’t no “technically” about it. If you live in the NE, you count! I am glad you are alive and well. I wish I could do something more than count names. Oil companies all said they’ve sent tankers and would check into sending gennies.
