What we need to do is toget the state party leaders together and see what are the major issues (Fiscal would be #1) and see what we can do to attract more people into tyhe party.
A friend of mine (a business owner) said he'll never will vote for REPUBLICANS or Religious Conservatives, because he doesn't feel welcome in the Party. (He is a LIBERTARIAN, because he believes in smaller government.) he owns a small business with 18 employees, but he is gay.
Why does it bother you that your neighbor is sleeping with someone of the same sex? To me, it doesn't. I don't care if someone wants an abortion -- personally I'm against it -- but why does it bother people.
“I don’t care if someone wants an abortion — personally I’m against it — but why does it bother people. “
Going to be an interesting few days at FR...
we can already see what treating abortion as trivial has wrought. the administration only held off a year on its reneging on its promise to the catholic church to honor its religious freedom... now it has to include abortion in mandatory health care plans. and you’re worried about treating abortion too conservatively? that’s like being worried about having fire extinguishers in a flood.
Push that liberal b/s on FR you damned well will get the zot!
FR is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-God (the one true Judea-Christian God), pro-constitution, pro-small government, pro-defense, pro-America, patriotic grassroots conservative site. If you and your liberaltarian comrades can’t handle that, you can always stay the hell away.
I don't think that you have stated the real issue. The gay agenda demands all of the rest of us embrace and sanction their senseless deviation at one edge of the psychological bell curve. I am not on The Earth to validate another's insecurities.
You, obviously, are on the wrong site. This is a CONSERVATIVE site... NOT a Republican (Moderate/squishy) site.
A Twofer. I always enjoy a Double-Zot thread. Thank you for outing yourself, you liberal troll-wad.
Let the lightning commence!
I notice you've neither been banned nor answered, so I'll give you the short version.
People are "bothered" by abortion because it is the taking of an innocent human life. That is, it is murder, which is the most heinous crime possible. If someone isn't bothered by that, then there is a fault in their thinking and theology.
So, then, why are you "against it"? And why aren't you bothered by it?
What are your feelings on infanticide? If different than your feelings on abortion, why does the location of the baby make such a difference to you as to whether you care about protecting its life?
Because it turns a small child into medical waste. It's uh, you know...MURDER.
Why are you against it if it's no big deal?
Are you aware how stupid you look comparing the murder of a small child to some guy getting some bedroom action from another guy?
If you really have no clue why we oppose it so strongly, I dare you to watch this video. Don't worry, no graphic pictures or anything like that, just a young woman telling a small crowd about her abortion. Tell me I shouldn't care about it.
Get lost, troll.
I would say the so-con message is good and righteous, but not presently a winner in many of political contests.
Still, Romney and most of the higher profile GOP candidates were not running on that plank, but on economy and budget issues first and foremost. Virtually all of the talk about those issues came from the left and the media (but I repeat myself) as a wedge for use on Republicans, any of them without regard to how they might actually govern on those issues.
That was the Tea party before it was hijacked by the social conservatives who focused on everything but fiscal issues.
he owns a small business with 18 employees, but he is a fudge packer.
