Daily Mail ^ | 3/27/13 | Lydia Warren

Posted on 03/27/2013 10:18:35 AM PDT by Kartographer

When 14-year-old Katelyn Norman learned that her bone cancer was going to take her life, she drew up a list of her final wishes - a slow dance, a last kiss, a date to prom. But as her friends gathered at a venue in LaFollette, Tennessee on Tuesday night to throw the prom in her honour, Katelyn was airlifted to hospital after struggling to breathe. So classmates and relatives brought the party to her bedside instead, bringing balloons, music and her smartly-dressed date to make sure she didn't miss out on completing her bucket list. Katelyn has been fighting osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer, for two years but doctors told her last week that it has spread to her heart, arteries, pelvis and spine and that there is nothing more they can do

Dream come true: Her date presents Katelyn, who is suffering from terminal bone cancer, with a corsage

I have a good feeling that this boy might just end up being one hell of a man someday and make some woman a good husband.

I can't help but notice she a real 'girl' her date is a real 'boy' and he had the respect to dress properly for the occasion and nobody has tats or visable parts of their bodies with holes. WHAT IS THIS YOUNG GENERATION COMING TO?

There’s a Rascal Flatts song called ‘Skin’ that kind of follows this story. This story and that song often seem to make things look blurry to me....

Really, you get that from this story no viable tats and piercing?
According to your statement if a person has a piercing or tats they are not real, that is just weird.

Thanks for post.

Made an old man cry.

There is still human kindness among us. Shame this must come from an English Newspaper.

It was you that said “real boy and real girl” then followed that by piercings and tats.
Not my issues if other people didn’t care to respond.
These were real kids doing a real thing, whether they had tats/piercings or not.
