Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storming people's homes and performing illegal searches. While it was unclear initially if the home searches were voluntary, it is now crystal clear that they were absolutely NOT voluntary. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at gunpoint, marching the residents out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform their illegal searches.
This was part of a larger operation that involved total lockdown of the suburban neighbor to Boston. Roads were barricaded and vehicle traffic was prohibited. A No-Fly Zone was declared over the town. People were "ordered" to stay indoors. Businesses were told not to open. National Guard soldiers helped with the lockdown, and were photographed checking IDs of pedestrians on the streets. All the while, police were performing these disgusting house-to-house searches.

Yea, keep telling yourself that. There was a city wide lock-down. I’m sure the terrorist are quite scared now. I really don’t know how this can be justified. It’s astonishing to see so many people ignore what just happened.

I’ve seen the video. It’s been floating around since yesterday. Standard operating procedure for making sure the terrorist wasn’t in there holding the family hostage. Designed to make sure neither civilians nor law enforcement officers would be endangered.
They'll probably keep voting that way if Republicans around the country keep calling them names.
I agree with you, I could not imagine allowing a search and seizure just because I live in a 20 black radius of where they think the bomber is. Worst is they found him outside the radius!

They obviously wanted the guys who planted the bombs. Those guys are the bottom of the pyramid. They are the tools. Why not go after the money. The Saudis. Oh, I forgot, they have friends in the White House.

Actually, this event (the “lock down”, NOT the bombing) couldn’t have happened in a better place. Just for the record, I don’t want to see any innocent person hurt, maimed or killed in an Islamic Jihad terrorist attack anywhere, including Boston. However, these people drape themselves in our flag, sing our National Anthem, cheer “USA, USA, USA”, cheer their storm trooper rulers, but they are deluding themselves in that communist utopia crap hole of a state. These are the same people that continue to vote rabid communist over and over and over again. They have given us the likes of Tip O’neal, Jerry Studds, Edwin Markey, Barney Frank, the recent Hiawatha woman and then, there is the host of Kennedys that seemed endless. The irony is simply stunning. They wouldn’t know freedom if it hit em in the side of the head.
I thought while I was watching all this go down was that the terrorist won! The citizens are now treated as the perps for their own good.
I would think my sister-in-law has a different set of friends in MA than you.
She doesn’t know any politicians, certainly not friends of a person who ran for election in the last presidential election.

There was a period in our History when a King thought exactly the same way, his folks Uniform were red in color and they had the same respect for persons and property displayed by your folks...

Hmmmm. So you accept the Gestapo tactics based on the writer of a short few paragraphs on a website, by the name of Aditi Mukherji? I can’t find that he/she is a lawyer or law student. Can you? Martindale.com (the venerable company that lists, and rates by peers ALL lawyers) has no record of him/her.
But, reality was that a search warrant as required by the 4th amendment was obtainable. There were no exigency circumstances in Boston, as delineated by USSC.
Thank you for what you do, but I humbly believe fervently you are mistaken. A warrant will be required for any search of my house(s). I will also get IDs for all persons entering. I will not voluntarily leave.
I’m sad that our Constitution is eroded by acquiescing with unlawful orders.
