List Good Movies I Can Watch Entirely on YouTube
Self | May 25, 2013 | PJ-Comix

Okay, its Memorial weekend and I'm not going anywhere. Therefore I am interested in GOOD movies I can see it their entirety on YouTube. I don't mind if you have to go to Part 2, Part 3, etc. as long as I can see it in its entirety. I also don't mind foreign language films as long as they are dubbed or subtitled into English.

I wanted to see a South Korean movie about the Korean War which has been dubbed the "Private Ryan" of that war but, unfortunately, it is only available in Korean or other languages. I saw part of it once and it was terrific. I think there is also a Polish movie out there about when the Reds invaded Poland in 1920 but thrown back which I would like to see...but in English.

Operation Abolition (1960)--a 16-mm film made by the House of Representatives Committee on Un-American Activities on its investigation into pro-Soviet groups in San Francisco. When it came out, it was shown by numerous patriotic groups--and denounced by leftists.

What I want to know is how do I find the whole-length versions of movies? I’ve gone looking for movies, and them having it in five or six pieces that I have to find between watching sections. It’s worse than commercials.

Create an account at YouTube and sign in on your computer. You can use a junk Gmail addy if you don't want to use your real e-mail.

When you find a movie you want to watch on the TV, click the "Add to" link right under the video.

In the "Enter new playlist name" space, type in something, like Movies 1. Number them because I've found that all the movies won't show up in the Playlist when you try to watch them on the TV if you have more than ten or so in one Playlist. I just keep it to ten in each one.

If you find a movie that's in many parts, name a Playlist the name of the movie, then add the parts in order, starting with Part 1. When you go to play them on the TV, they will play in order, one right after the other.

On your blu-ray player, log in to your YouTube account on the YouTube app, under "My Account". I think that's where it is. I did this months ago, and I keep it logged in all the time.

After you've logged in, click "My Account", then scroll down and click "Playlists". The Playlists you created (like Movies 1) will be listed there. Just click the first one.

I keep a bunch of Playlists named and numbered Old Movies, that are old b/w movies. I'll put one on and watch till I fall asleep.

Hope you can make sense out of all that! Kind of hard to explain. LOL If you have any questions or need clarification, just ping me or FReep mail me.

I don’t believe this fulfills your requirements specifically, but we just finished season 3 on Netflix Bluray DVD of “Downton Abby”, a Masterpiece Theater production. It is a historical period piece and we have found it very entertaining. I’m a history buff and this show does a good job.

Here's a few good ones!

A good episode from the old Kraft Suspense Theater, "One Step Down" (1963). There are a lot more on the sidebar at that video.

Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles, with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce

White Zombie (1932), with Bela Lugosi

Better than Youtube for free movies are Stagevu and Dailyflix: http://board.dailyflix.net/ .

HD versions of some and “midHD” versions of most movies.
Searchable, and broken down by years and type of recording.
(No coupons, but since it’s free I think you’d like it anyway.)

Wathching the HD “Hobbit” myself. Not bad so far though no movie can match what my imagination does with a good book.
