Vanity: It's Biblical: ...And when the wicked perish, there is glad shouting.
Bible | 20 July 2013 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

Posted on 07/20/2013 5:50:45 PM PDT by MeneMeneTekelUpharsin

The Bible pretty much lays it on the line. When the Bible speaks, it's God talking. Hard to argue with God.

Proverbs 11:10 - When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish, there is glad shouting.

So, when Hitler, Stalin, Khadafi, Kim Il Sung, Hugo Chavez, Osama Bin Laden, Che Guevara, Arafat, Saddam Hussein, Peter Jennings and Helen Thomas died, a lot of folks rejoiced. And, many of us are waiting for others to pass on like ANY of the leftists who have turned this nation upside down morally and in every way. When God gets ready, the wicked perish. And, we must remember, he says in Romans 12 that "Vengeance is mine, I will repay...." and it is not for us to do anything to hasten the day of death for such evil leaders as we have now. God will take care of business when He gets ready. It is up to us to live morally, responsibly and to stand up for what is right and not cave to the interests trying to force false teaching and lifestyles upon us.

We do NOT have to give in to these demented protesters trying to rewrite moral law in regard to the Zimmerman case. And, God will deal with them. When they encourage their young to assault innocent people who very well may have no point of view at all on the matter for absolutely no other reason than to avenge the death of the criminal Trayvon Martin, then their young will die as well. Who in his or her right mind is going to stand there and just ALLOW a thug to beat them to death? Not very many. Justice served...by the moral laws of God.

I would say that you should learn Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Aramaic and translate it for yourself. Without faith the size of a mustard seed, you still won’t believe though.

Ezekiel 18:23

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Both of them were advocates for some VERY evil people. Helen Thomas was in particular. No retraction. What has been said has been said.

The only point I wouldn't debate is that you need to spend a lot more time studying God's word. The New Testament in particular. Sounds like you think you are the author.

Maybe related in regards to some opinions on such matters.

Sisters in Communism
American Spectator ^ | July 19, 2013 | Paul Kengor
People’s World is the flagship publication of Communist Party USA, and the successor publication to the Daily Worker. It recently carried back-to-back articles that were very revealing of a dubious but old tradition among the American left. To wit: America’s communists have always found allies—useful idiots, dupes—among the liberal/progressive left, the mainstream Democratic Party, and (especially) the religious left. As to the latter, I’m ever reminded of the words of the late Herb Romerstein, who told me: “The religious left; they were the biggest suckers of them all.”

Proverbs 11:10 is an observation on human nature. As proverbs generally are. It is not a heavenly dictat.

There is absolutely nothing in the New Testament that would indicate Jesus celebrates in casting souls into hell.

There is endless fodder in the Old Testament for people that want the Bible to agree with their views, which is probably why we were given the New Testament.

Loving one’s enemies as yourself doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room for rejoicing when they die in an evil state and are cast into hell.

Feelings of relief or justice are different issues.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,

None of them are my enemies. They have done nothing to me directly. But they were wicked. Now that they're gone and no longer an evil influence it is time for rejoicing.

It's the truth. The ones mentioned were evil. Glad they're gone. No more influence. It's not my job to get rid of them, but still glad they're gone.

Sheepdogs also have a love for their fellow man, we always have to be sure we ascertain our surroundings and other people with logic and love.

The original Greek (New Testament) and Hebrew (Old Testament) remain. You can read volumes and volumes of books on translation techniques. The best minds for two milennia have been translating the originals into whatever common tongue. If you don’t like their translations, you may always and certainly go to the originals and translate yourself. They are available.

God did not leave us without direction. He is not like that.

Not a problem. No rejoicing that people in general have perished, just the really evil ones. It removes their influence from life.

There is no problem with people dying and being happy that their influence is over here on earth but if to perish is the same as in John 3:16 then it is the opposite to having eternal life i.e. it is being cast into hell - all I can rejoice in is that God saved me from that same future.
