Some researchers predict that the following sunspot Cycle #25 may even be absent all together.

“If this trend continues, there will be almost no spots in Cycle 25,” Noted Matthew Penn of the National Solar Observatory, hinting that we may be on the edge of another Maunder Minimum.

Ha! Missed the “yummy buttered” roll! Goes to show we can miss and skip over words to get the meaning. Lots of brain teasers out there that show that.

We haven’t had much in the way of a normal summer here in NC. Rain, rain, rain, a few days of sun but not much out of the eighties, then back to rain, rain, rain. Today, it honestly feels like mid-September, humidity’s off, the lat evening light has that golden tinge, getting down to upper fifties at night. Maybe one week the entire time has felt like summer typically feels the whole time. Beginning to wonder if an early winter is in store.

"It is very important to remember that we *think* there is a pattern with solar activity, but the Sun is under no obligation to do what we *think* it will do."

We might see some interesting weather in about 2-3 years--maybe even more interesting than that in about 6 years or so. Many of the folks who lived on higher elevations of the Rockies (over 9,000 feet) moved south or east over the past few years, and many more are talking about doing so. There was quite a bit of utility and vehicle breakage last winter.

OH, NOES!

First they cancel global warming, and now they say that we will have global cooling!

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEESSSSSSSS!

Duh, does that mean that we should be generating more CO2?

Pass the Shiner Bock, please!

There is a touch of Fall in the air here. I see an early Fall and a beautiful Indian Summer.

We’re headed into a mini Ice Age.

Hmm, a roll in the hay? A yummy buttered roll?

If homemade, I'll take the latter.

Is the end near? Are we all going to die?

Here is my plan: Enjoy life as long as I have it.

People are going to die of stress.... long before any bad weather get’s ‘em.
