So what did you think (if you watched the show)?

No, he could run as a Democrat for the Senate or run for POTUS and be completely void of prosecution. It would be absolutely 1000% believable.

I guess one alternative would be for Walt to recover, avoid prosecution, retire to Florida with his family and take up water skiing. I can see it now, he'd be out on the water when some ferocious fish would head straight toward him, and he could just jump over the shark and give a big thumbs up to the audience. Then, we could all tune in to another fun season of Breaking Bad.

Bad news.

Jesse's still alive.

Next show: Breaking Good, where Jesse turns to the Lord and becomes a priest.

I had no idea this was THE last show of the entire series! What the?? Why would they be insane enough to end a show with this kind of audience?

I think its a stroke of genius. Finally, a show that is willing to die before every last dollar is wrung out of it. It makes me MUCH more willing to watch Vince Gilligans work, in the future. I know he's not playing me for a sap.

I know of only one person to achieve it: Sandra Bullock.

Totally agree, I always have liked her films and she is unpretentious and grounded.

I especially liked it when she received her first oscar and said (paraphrased) ‘Well it took long enough but I finally wore you down’.

Walt finally admits (to Skylar and 5 million viewers) that that he did for himself (libertarian and freedom meme as in the live free or die meme in this series)....

But this does not negate that he did it all for his family (too) Walt did both at the same time

That was a great choice of a closing tune.

<< “Badfinger - Baby Blue one of my all time favorites, great song to end with.” >>

Mine too. I read on the AMC forum a comment that said Badfinger was also cheated out of something (money?) by someone they trusted, similar to Walt and his treachery . Anyone know that story?

Walter was a character right out of Shakespeare, a tragic principal with all of the tragic flaws and hubris. I was spellbound with him and at times furious with him. Well done.

One person I hated to see die on that show was hitman Mike.

Lol OR how about Breaking Compassionate, Jesse goes back to ‘cooking’ and makes millions and then opens a rehab for meth addicts to ease his conscience?

One of the saddest stories in Rock and Roll. Two members committed suicide because of the financial pressures. later the drummer, Mike Gibbins died of cancer. Only Joey Molland remains.

Watch VH1 behinds the scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbjiPadlbQA

That plot twist was inspired by a fan of BB who had inoperable brain cancer.

The cast of BB visited him and asked him how he’d like to see it end.

I think the “It made me feel alive” line was a direct result of the boy’s input.

They offered to let him see the final ep script but the kid said no, I’ll watch it.

He didn’t make it.

Walt was dying and the whole meth mess made him feel alive, in the face of it.

I watched for the first time this week during the AMC marathon so I could see the finale. Interesting show but I save my slavish devotion for “Mad Men”

“Please turn your hymnals to ‘Amazing Grace’....bitch!.”

Nah.

I can’t see it.

All the bad guys except Jesse (who is only "semi" bad) got their just desserts; Walt got to die on his own terms. After Ozymandias everything else was semi predictable and anticlimactic -- a good bit of it, like Lydia's poisoning was foreshadowed -- very satisfying.

Forcing Grey Matter to launder money back to his family was brilliant, as was the admission to Skyler that in the end he had really done it all for himself, and the "family" angle was mostly a rationalization.

Correction: “YO! Please turn your hymnals to ‘Amazing Grace’....bitch!”

You forgot the ‘YO!’.

Badfinger - Baby Blue one of my all time favorites, great song to end with.

Yep. The episode name and the Marty Robbins tune were used to very good effect, too.
