As always, humans fall short of what cats demand.

“Downing Street denies feud between David Cameron and Larry the cat”

Cameron thinks he’s too good for Larry. Larry sees Cameron as staff just like anybody else, so naturally there’s some conflict there.

Slow news day I guess. ;)

I had My previous cat for ten years. After I had had him for awhile, I happened to notice that there were always some people he just never liked. No apparent reason, he just stayed away from them.

After a few years I noticed that all the people he disliked either turned on Me, turned their backs when I needed help, or outright stabbed Me in the back eventually.

Lesson learned; if he did not like them or warm up to them then we went our separate ways. My life became less stressful and worrysome as a result and his life was one calm day after another as well.

Animals have great instincts.

Aw, Larry looks a lot like my Buster, who was my second cat. Buster sure was a sweety, except for his habit of waking me up by sticking his nose in my mouth.

From the article:

The cat’s initially lackadaisical approach to his mousing duties led to speculation that his days Downing Street could be numbered.

I'd expect that. If you want a hunter, get a female.

Out in the country, our felines were not house cats. I never had to buy food for our momma cats or their young.

What I found out was that males would provide for themselves, but momma cats fed themselves and their young, and taught them how to hunt. "Mittens" would bring live field mice or baby rabbits in for her kittens to play with, kill, and eat. That's how boy cats learn to hunt for themselves, but they don't provide for or train their offspring.

Get a female barn cat who means business. IMHO

He looks like a cat I rescued as a kitten and placed with a loving family. That cat had a good life until he eventually died of diabetes.
