Monday, October 25, 20105 Best Countries to Escape America's Decline Activist Post
Okay, you're upset with the direction America is headed and you've been thinking of moving to another country. Perhaps you feel exhaustively cynical about the political, economic, or social situation in the U.S. and think it is beyond repair. You wouldn't be alone. Many top economists and other trend forecasters are now openly predicting that a total economic, environmental, and social collapse may be imminent in America.

To add to my previous post... those additional states would join in to form a new national entity, but a regaining of the 50-state America, once it fractures, won’t happen.
Belize gets an occasional hurricane—in 1961, Hurricane Hattie flattened Belize City. Costa Rica is pretty much outside the hurricane belt, but in 1988, Hurricane Joan brought fatalities and considerable damage.
Puerto Ayora, in the the Galapagos, part of Ecuador, has the world’s best climate. It is smack on the Equator, at sea level, cooled by the Humboldt Current from Antarctica.

Maybe so but I thought when getting out of the fryer the idea was to avoid the fire.
Make that out of the frying pan!
I have heard nothing but good things about Boquete.
Defintitely Chile. Great climate, no natural enemies, stable currency, stable Republic, Rule of Law.
Definitely Chile.
A US collapse wouldn’t allow me to escape to Belize or anywhere else. I’m dependent on SS and two corporate pensions.
By 20105 we’ll be beyond the solar system, back to living in caves, or be extinct.
Jim should change the name of this site to "We're Too Weak & Fragile To Be A Free Republic".
These defeatist threads are DISGUSTING!
The Maoris were paid BILLIONS in reparations and were demanding more billions plus the forests and fisheries when I left.
New Zealand voters are happy to destroy their country every ten years by electing Labour. It's a beautiful place to vacation.
“I dont know about Belize, but, from what I hear, Costa Rica is a crap hole. Sorry”
I tend to agree. Why jump from one outhouse to another?
I’m not leavng the USA. Just noting that given the date of the article - Monday, October 25, 20105 - I don’t expect to live eighteen thousand years. Optimistically, I’m hoping for 85 to 95.
We visited Krk, had a great time, would love to go back.
Can I bring all my guns?
Well, Deb..you are a behaving like a jerk. Name calling is for playground bullies and DUers. I have not posted on FR in probably a year, cause I was sick of people like you flaming everyone everytime they expressed the slightest amount of frustration with whats happening.
You want people to walk around all day long with a false sense of optimism...have you been paying any attention to the news for the past 5 years? We are losing this nation and losing badly..that may turn around tomorrow and I pray it does......there is nothing wrong whatsoever with talking about different places to live....nothing at all. There is nothing weak or fragile about discussing what we can to protect our families. Freedom is not a place, it’s not a country, it’s a state of mind. I love the USA and am thankful to God every day that I was born here...but what God gave, he can take away....if I have to move somewhere else to be free, I will go if I can....there is nothing in the tea leaves that says the USA will be free forever...but if you wanna put all your eggs in that basket, go ahead...I will send you a postcard.
