A former NHS director died after waiting for nine months for an operation - at her own hospital.
Margaret Hutchon, a former mayor, had been waiting since last June for a follow-up stomach operation at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex.
But her appointments to go under the knife were cancelled four times and she barely regained consciousness after finally having surgery.

Get used to it. That’s what we’re headed for.
Well, it doesn’t look like they discriminate, the socialist incompetence crosses all economic boundries.
Karma
She played by the same rules she made for everyone else, give her that.
Finally, some Social Justice.
She had to, as she was retired.
don’t piss off the help if you have to rely on them for your life!
Plot element for next 4GW novel
If I were the coroner, I would classify this woman’s death as a suicide.
Live by ObamaCare?
Die by ObamaCare.w
But, Obama and his cronies in Congress don’t have to worry about things going wrong for them because they got exemptions.
Uber irony alert
I hope I live long enough to get the satisfaction of seeing (at least some) liberals experience their handiwork first hand.
Most will be too stupid to realize the suffering they have imposed upon their own children. When it happens they will not even comprehend it’s their fault.
Until the doctors run out.
The same fate awaits me. Age+family history+Obamacare = death panel review/denial of benefits. I know I've seen my last heart catheterization, and Mohs surgery. I just hope to live long enough to see Obama and every Democrat driven from office broken, penniless, and in disgrace. And, may their barking mothers be struck and killed by the next car they pursue.
This poor woman obviously was absent the funds that could see her receiving more immediate care in some American state. National health care is awesome, as long as you know it’s limitations and fully understand that nothing is free. Taxes pay for the care you receive and waiting in line is your fate, unless you are wealthy.
Canada is a fine example... When the Premier of Newfoundland needed heart surgery he went to the United States. When our former Prime Ministers Mulroney and Chretien had cancer and other health concerns, they went to the USA and when one of our wealthy industrialist KC Irving passed after a very long life, he died in the Boston General Hospital, not his hometown hospital the Saint John Regional.
The question is... Now that the US is going the way of socialized medicine, where do the wealthy go now for immediate health care? China, or Japan perhaps?
Good. I hope many, many polidiots die from their decisions to screw the rest of us.
