Phil Robertson (Duck Dynasty) makes controversial comments about homosexuality
FOXNEWS ^ | Dec. 18, 2013

A&E star Phil Robertson made several controversial comments in the latest issue of GQ, on newsstands Dec. 24.

When speaking to GQ, the “Duck Dynasty” dad spoke openly about his thoughts on homosexuality and various religious groups.

“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

Controversial? No, this is controversial....

Barbara Walters on Obama: ‘We Thought He Was Going To Be The Next Messiah’

I don't really get offended by liberal wackos spouting out nonsense, but this is getting close. I am sure many hard-core Christians would absolutely find this controversial and offensive and I wouldn't blame them.

More like Genesis

Genesis 19:19 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. 2 And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way. ” And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.”

3 But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”

6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, 7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! 8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”

9 And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. 10 But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.

I do not know where you got that he does not know about repentance. He was pointing out scripture with a limited amount of time. Turning from sin is just part of what he was saying, it’s of course something you would do if you understood what he was saying. Sounds like you are a little judgmental of a Christian brother. He is no doubt doing more for the cause of Christ than maybe, ‘you’. I say good job speaking out against this. We need more men like it!!!

Agreed. Most, who’ve taken a stand without the solid rock beneath them, cave instantly.

But if their faith is genuine, then it’s a win-win. If they’re wanting out of their contract, they get out no questions asked. And there’s also this:

Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

So if they exit under persecution, if they’re genuine, there is no downside.

What’s ironic is if you take your argument just a little further.

The American people have apparently decided that when people engage in the risky behavior of smoking, that it’s harmful to society, that there are medical costs associated with the risky behavior that society doesn’t want to pay, that it’s just not worth it in terms of abbreviated lives. So we discourage that behavior.

HIV/AIDS is a death sentence, and homosexuality is the leading cause of the disease. Why is there therefore no outcry to ban/discourage homosexuality? When you look at the billions in research that are spent on HIV/AIDS, compared to the smaller amounts spent for diseases that normal people are dying of, it puts a sharper point on the argument.

I think the homosexual lobby is probably stronger than the PETA lobby, but we’ll see. I’ll be interested to see how this plays out. If they are as strong in their faith as they seem to be the DD crew will be just fine, fame or no fame.

“I now pronounce you top and bottom”?

"I now pronounce you catcher and pitcher"?

I've heard gay men talk about their "husbands." So does that make one of them a "wife"? Or do they consider themselves "husband and husband"? How can even THEY think this is normal?

Remember when the thought of two men and two women engaging in sexual acts was controversial? And Phil’s thinking was normal? Those were the days.

Now I'm confused. What's controversial?

Is FoxNews is saying that for men "a vagina would be more desirable than a man’s anus" is somehow controversial???

I think it's either time for the apocalypse or for a new "Fox News Network", the old one is broken.

I really, really, really hope I’m not reading about Phil’s apology in a couple of days. Seems to happen ALL of the time when someone stands up and speaks the truth.

Thanks to the tobacco manufacturers’ well paid mouthpieces over on K Street.

And there is one rather significant difference between smoking and HIV/AIDS: Putting aside the matter of second hand smoke, the diseases from smoking are generally individual specific. The homos SPREAD theirs (mainly to consenting partners) and have been — and are now — attempting to do so by attempting to be allowed to DONATE BLOOD into the GENERAL SUPPLY!!

> Here is where logic escapes me... if gay men are supposedly attracted to other “men”, why do they act like females?

Wouldn’t that then imply the gay man is really heterosexual after all?

Logic / common sense / rationality; these terms do not apply to or are any part of the vocabulary of gays, liberals, progressives, etc...their world is ruled by emotion and impulsiveness without considering the consequences of their actions

Here’s the kicker that libs hate.

Phil Robertson has a Master’s Degree in Education and became a millionaire by his own hands (and Willie’s). From his website:

“As a high-school athlete, Phil earned All-State rankings in football, baseball, and track, which afforded him the opportunity to attend Louisiana Tech University on a football scholarship. There, Phil played first-string quarterback – ahead of Terry Bradshaw, who later went on to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers team to 4 Super Bowl championships. Phil said, “Terry went for the bucks, and I chased after the ducks.” After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s in Education, Phil spent several years teaching in Louisiana schools. Acclaimed as an excellent teacher by his students, Phil came to the conclusion that his time and talents would be better spent in the woods.”

Controversy they say. That this is not a disputed opinion. It has SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS.

Even among the gay community, their numbers MAX out at 10% of the populace in Washington DC (America’s “gayest” city).
