I grew up in San Francisco Bay Area. My father was an original season ticket holder of the young Raiders team.
Around the same time, my dad explained to me how football was played in the rest of the country. Green Bay was ALWAYS the coldest. Then and there they became my team!
As an adult I moved to Chicago in 1985, then lived in Chicago the next 25 years. How could I not love Da Bears?
When Chicago and Green Bay would play one another, I’d root for Green Bay. To this day, they’re the only two teams that interest me.
Have fun in the cold. I couldn’t do that cold. :)

I was at the Western Conference playoff game the week before in Milwaukee when Travis Williams score twice on returns. Not quite as cold as the Ice Bowl but a lot of fun.

The forecast just keeps getting worse. Right now Weather.com is predicting -3 for the HIGH and -19 for the low.
I know football is played by tough guys, but that is ridiculous.

I was eating lunch today and the tube had the story of choppers picking up the passengers of the ‘stuck in the ice floe ship’.
This bimbo said, I am so glad they are safe.
I asked her who should pay to extract them.
Got the dumb look and she said something along the line of ‘YOU people always worry about money’.
I said isn’t it kind of ironic that the IDIOTS were on a cruise to prove their point on Global Warming and they get stuck in the Ice?...
Got the blank look again and I closed with “Guess you should feel sorry for them, Antarctica is in the Southern Hemisphere and is south of us so there probably shouldn’t be any ice there anyway as they are surrounded by the Southern Ocean”
I paid and left and have absolutely no idea what her response may have been.

But us older real smart men sit in a Lay-z-boy with a nice fire crackling in the fire place and down our favorite brews and watch the game on TV! Sometimes here in the South we may have to prop open the outside door to keep the room somewhat cool.

Irony is a ship full of global warming advocates getting trapped in the hardest freeze to hit Antarctica in decades.
