FULL TITLE: Enraged female motorist 'bites' tow truck driver and smashes windows as her prized SUV is taken away for repossession

A female motorist has been accused of savagely biting a recovery man after he arrived at her home to tow away her vehicle for repossession.

Lakeisha Smith, 29, from Spartanburg, South Carolina, flew into a rage on Sunday evening when Scott Fowler came to pick up her prized Cadillac Escalade, with part of the event caught on camera.

Cell phone-filmed footage shows her trying to drive the luxury SUV off the tow truck before manically smashing in all of the windows with a tire iron.

If he put her down on the ground the crowd would have turned on him.

Seriously, let’s hope his rabies shots are up to date.

“...the judge ruled she was not a flight risk.”

Well, of course not. Her Escalade is gone and she doesn’t live on the bus line.

“And a policeman standing right there.....”

Yes I saw that and I don’t get why he does not arrest her right there on the spot!

Because each year after she gets her $6,000 EITC ‘refund’ she goes out and plops down half of it and then signs a loan for umpty-ozen percent high risk APR. Salesmen don’t care if they get their commission and they work to push it through. Add one month’s on-line insurance from “The General” and you’re all set - simple, really. That’s how.

Why does it say “the motor is pretty much worthless”?? British-speak?

I’m guessing that guy wasn’t a ‘cop’ but a security guard hired to watch the neighborhood or something.

“They’ll likely write off the SUV”

I don’t care about the SUV. It’s the tow truck driver I care about. I hope his insurance helps out. Both on his truck and on HIM.

Are you kidding me? They guy is wearing a UNC hat and she’s probably a Gamecocks fan. Plus, he’s just a white guy. What’s the big deal?

She revved that engine to hell and back. Must have redlined it four or five times for prolonged periods. No oil circulated, I’m guessing it’s not an engine I’d consider long term. My guess is there is head gasket and probably temp damage to the cooling system seals.

If he’s been repossessing cars long this isn’t the first time he’s been assaulted. She’ll be paying his medical bills. Although that may be touch if she can’t pay for the car.

Oh, I guess she over-reved it maybe? Rev limiter should have prevented damage. Would have been interesting if it had been AWD.

Not an animated picture, but one can almost *see* the rubber neck in action.

How, at age 28 and with no particularly large income, was this individual able to convince some total fool to loan her the money to buy an expensive vehicle like that? A new Navigator or Escalade usually runs about $60,000 including tax.

Who loaned this woman that kind of money, especially given that she has had two past cars repoed?

Anyone can buy any type of car they want. Those "NO CREDIT! BAD CREDIT!"-type dealerships don't care. They'll charge you a astronomical interest rate, place a GPS tracker in the car and if you can't pay, the repo guy picks it up and they'll sell it to someone else.

While the housing bubble has received all the news, a car bubble has been happening as well, and for the same reasons; people who have no means to afford nice cars are able to purchase them.

It wasn't long ago I read a sob story about a single mother who worked as a janitor lamenting her inability to make the $1000+ monthly payments on her convertible BMW. Her car was repoed and now she can't take her kids to the doctor or go buy groceries. She placed the blame on one of those corner lot dealerships --the only ones who would sell her a luxury BMW due to her poor credit rating and low income.

You’re right. I remember hearing grinding. At the time I think she revved it in forward, and then pulled it into reverse and revved it again.

She is one seriously agitated and unstable entitlement mind crazy b!tch. She belongs in a jail for a long time. She destroyed a $60,000 I’d be willing to bet she never made even $10K payments on at any time.
