Truthfully I’m not that big of a sports fan, but I remember when sports was at least something you could turn to as a distraction from the rest of the nonsense in the world. Now the nonsense is front and center. You have the Redskins insanity with people trying to force an owner to change the name of his property, then you have tons of media attention devoted to a player who isn’t good enough to be in the league but he’s attracted to other men so he’s considered important, and next there will be some kind of backlash over him being cut too. Makes you wonder what kind of stupidity will be next.
It’s not a great stretch to suppose that the St Louis franchise owners are homophobes. Isn’t that the standard Leftist response for this kind of “news”?

There was no reason to draft Sam in the first place. For years we’ve been told by the bobblehead sports media that Jeff Fisher is a “great coach,” or a “good football man,” etc. But where’s the evidence?
Let’s face it, Sam blew it. And given the opportunity again, he would blow it. It’s his natural instinct.
The moment Sam played tonsil hockey with his boyfriend on TV, the Rams knew they made a big mistake.
They handled it about as well as they could, you can’t say that they didn’t give Sam every opportunity to make the team.
Bottom line, is if you are going to be a second or third string defensive player, you’d better make an impact on special teams or else there is no justification for you taking up a roster spot.
