Thanks Face. I just hope they all have happy lives.

T-C, it’s so funny...everyone has their favorite. Bowie went to a young family with an 8 YO daughter, and she said she thought Bowie was “the most beautiful puppy in the world”

Hubby wanted to keep Winter, and I adored Bailey.

How long will it be before I stop missing them?

It will be a period of time proportional to the length of time you had them, with a coefficient representing your emotional state during that time period. You'll miss them somewhat longer than you had them, but not indefinitely. Might be twice as long, might be three times as long, if they were meeting an emotional need. Maybe four times as long, if it was a major need!

(I'm not a psychologist or a dog whisperer, but sometimes I play one on the Interwebs ;-).

It's different, of course, since you were exposed to their personalities. Just on looks, though, I pick Bowie.

OK, Pet Fans...I just got an emotional plea from Lablady. Her allergies are kicking her backside and she has to give away her two cats. The youngest is gone, but Merlin the Magnificent is waiting for a home.

Lablady has asked that I take Merlin. Tough decision. I need a kitteh, but the deposit is $250... Maybe Lablady can help with it...

I feel the need for a purry thing...

If she wants you to take her cat, she should pay the pet-bribe, no questions asked. No brainer. Who would even consider anything else?

Jamie-my-hairdresser has a new cat, and the people who asked her to take him are providing food and litter every week for him!

Lablady is frazzled. They laid off her only help at the sleep lab, so she is working 60+ hour weeks.

She is going to help me with the deposit and the food, litter, etc., but I told her I need a crate for him.

This is hard, but since I’m feeling better overall, I think it may be a good thing. He may help to lower my BP, and that HAS to be good!

I think it would be nice for you to have a cat, but she just has to pay the fee.

She says she will do that. I will discuss it at a higher level when we meet again...maybe in two weeks. It seems Merlin likes chests and likes to help read books...

When I was a kid in Washington we were allow to play with the stream that went though the play ground. Being on the west coast of Washington it happen often. We would build dams and when they broke we would yell dam it to the kids down stream to stop the water. Teacher were fine with this. But if someone said the same words other places it was not.

Later in life I learned about context. I learned that understanding context is very important in life, except when your read the undead thread. This thread can be very intertaining when read not knowing the context.

I have always had a hard time hear what some people say and have learned that when you don’t understand a word you can just use a word of your know choosing. Kinda like a reality show based on madlibs.

And sometimes you need words like ain’t to fully understand context.

"I like rain. It’s also good for the flowers."

I agree.

Rain

Rain refreshes. Rain rewards.
Kills our thirst with liquid swords.
Washes all the dust away,
And bends the light at end of day.

Rain helps soothe us into sleep,
Cleans up the world we’re sworn to keep.
We tend to it, and it to us,
We’re well rewarded for the fuss.

Like magic mushrooms popping up,
Our food shows in the flowing cup,
A horn of plenty, our reward,
And liquid coolness from the gourd.

Rain comes by to cool our brow,
To give a rest from labors now,
While forces sent from up above,
Gently whisper, "Here’s the Love!"

I’ve never had kittens

We can fix that. There's three out in the barnremains right now.. Their pic is back-thread a ways but here's one..

Just 'cause you're a third of NJ away doesn't mean that's too far for you to go for a free kittie... ;-)
