Did these lawyers happen to mention that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect so-called gay rights and that the Supreme Court has clarified that the 14th Amendment applies only constitutionally enumerated rights to the states regardless of pro-gay, PC interpretations of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protections Clause now by activist judges?
Did these lawyers also mention that the states where these hate crimes against Christians are occuring are in violation of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment imo? This is because Section 1 prohibits the states from making laws / policies which unreasonably abridge the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens, the 1st Amendment's protection of religious freedom in this case.
In other words, the states are wrongly using constitutionally unprotected gay "rights" to trump constitutionally protected religious expression.
As long as I still have the right to vote I can't, and won't do that.
And as long as I still vote these secularists will continue to accuse me of "imposing my belief system" on them.

Yes a few of them did mention that the laws are currently swung to the Left. They all hoped we don’t have to wait too long before the reversal swing starts.

I think if this were to be litigated the 1st Amendment route probably has the best hope.
But some more perceptive folks might ask, why are you picking on homos when you don’t pick on divorcees etc.?
No, I haven’t been spoiled. I just refuse to take part in what too many consider normal. I carefully screen clients before I accept their business. Not everyone has the will, the time or can afford to be selective. This thread is for them.

Yes, keep yourself set apart.
The GLBT will probably target church or church-related organizations. A church could be sued for violating local laws barring gay employment discrimination or the federal tax exemption (which also bars discrimination).
One might argue for religious freedom for the pastor but not for jobs in the church that don’t directly involve preaching or counseling. Some big hairy guy will walk in with pink hair, hoop earrings, high heels and fishnet stockings and demand a job as a janitor.
Well if you want to approach it from that angle, then consider how God says to address pestilences. Remember we are in New Testament now.
But be careful not to be seen as throwing a tantrum that your once Christianized world has been spoiled. It never really was actually Christian.

I would just tell them to kiss my pimply butt, just like I did for Democrats and muslims at my gunshop. No muzzscum ever came in but if they did they would have been told to get the hell out. I chased more than a couple of Obama voters out. I have since closed the shop due to health reasons, but I would have closed it down before doing business with the enemy.
