The deadly Ebola virus could be mutating to become even more contagious, a leading U.S scientist has warned.

The disease has killed nearly 4,000 people, infecting in excess of 8,000 - the majority in the West African nations of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

Communities lie in ruins, thousands of children have been orphaned, millions face starvation but the virus continues its unprecedented pace, invading and destroying vast swathes of these countries.

Meanwhile three nurses, two in the U.S. and one in Spain have caught the infection while treating Ebola patients, despite wearing protective suits.

Now U.S. scientist Peter Jahrling of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease believes the current Ebola outbreak may be caused by an infection that spreads more easily than it did before.

Dr Jahrling explained that his team, who are working in the epicentre of the crisis in the Liberian capital of Monrovia, are seeing that the viral loads in Ebola patients are much higher than they are used to seeing....

The headline says more contagious (no evidence for that), the story says (possibly) more virulent.

Germs mutate. Do these experts not understand evolution? It’s a sad day when a Christian like me can better explain the concept of evolution better than some lawyers and politicians can.

The point being why put political correctness above the safety and health of Americans?

Shouldn’t we exercise prudence before admitting persons with a lethal disease from a Third World country?

Common health care precautions are now disregarded for reasons of ideology.

Obama wouldn’t win in Vegas.

The house always wins. But he prefers to gamble with American lives in the belief nothing can get worse.

It would be more reassuring if the federal government wasn’t so incompetent in addressing a potentially lethal pandemic.

This man never got the memo that scientists must model themselves after Lysenko, become loyal Obama acolytes and conform their research results to the politically correct delusions of the dear Leader. This guy will be gone from NIH very soon.

Its time for ALL publications to begin referring to it as the Obola virus.

This cannot be true...

The GOD-KING Obama has told us that Ebola is hard to catch. Why are these leading scientists so anti-science? They have dared to counter THE MESSIAH!

There have been Ebola outbreaks in the past. What did we do here then to prevent it from coming here? Anything different than now? Why didn’t it spread here and to Europe then? Is international travel that much more prevalent now? Were the previous outbreaks not as bad as this one?

When the operative word in a sentence is “Could” and there are data to back it up, it is not a scientific theory, it is instead absolute nonsense.

It has hit large cities in Western Africa this time. It also never hit the most affected countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone & Guinea) before (or large cities, or W Africa).

If the Ebola menace becomes an epidemic in America, think of the opportunity for Big Bertha Government. We will see martial law on steroids. The internment camps will be death camps and people will be loaded up on railroad cars at the point of the gun.
