Did Cruz just hint that he is going to run AGAINST McConnell for Majority Leader?

Posted on 11/04/2014 9:14:25 PM PST by Fettigator

Cruz was just on CNN and again to refuse to commit to supporting McConnell as Majority a Leader next week in conference.

Paul Begala caught it...it was subtle by Cruz....

He may not win but Cruz' Tea Party "caucus" just got more powerful tonight....oh please, oh please, oh please run for Leader, Cruz

After what happened to the Democrats in the Senate tonight, he might not need to use reconciliation. They may be able to get enough vulnerable Democrats to hit 60. After all they have no loyalty left for Obama. He has done nothing but decimate the Democrat Party!

I didn’t catch the exact language that Cruze used, but I saw his interview on CNN and on FOX tonight. I had the same thought about Cruze working to get elected as mojority leader.

It’s a fantasy, but if it happened, we might start to get this ship turned, or at least slowed down.

I like how he welcomes the veto on repealing Obama care and then laid out a plan to work around the veto's.
The guy craves the fight and that is why I like the guy.

And this is where around 54 republicans show they’re really democrats.

Cruz will do what it takes to bring America back to a Constitutional government. Back to a republican form of government. This would be the dimocrats worst nightmare.

He has the power now to make a stab at Leader of the Senate but has the power to control even if he is not the Leader. I believe the Dimocrats will block it.

That power is negotiations behind closed doors with Mitch while Cornyn takes notes.

Not likely, "hubris" is in control w/McConnell (Wdc-GOP/e)
(he's my Senator 😝)
he'll mumble, "we need the White Mosque"
thereby showing his inherent weakness, a
noticeable lack of strategic thinking.

If the GOP does win 55 or 56 seats as seems likely there are at least 50 votes for McConnell as leader. That’s just the way it is.
