Matty’s back!
Days after The Post exposed the military’s wrongful, 16-month-long separation of injured Army Spc. Brent Grommet and his war dog, Matty, the two were finally reunited on Friday.
“I’m about the happiest I’ve ever been,” Grommet, 23, told The Post.
Grommet and Matty, who specialized in detecting IEDs, were injured when one exploded near them in Afghanistan. Grommet came back with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, migraines, severe chronic back pain and breathing problems.
Under Robby’s Law — signed by Bill Clinton in 2000 — military dog handlers have the first right to adopt their animals if injured together.

Why would scum bag Lt. Col. Richard Varga intentionally do this and refuse to correct the problem? I would not want to be him. One of his neighbors may just give him “manners lessons”.
So here I sit in a grocery store parking lot, crying.

Anyone who sneers has never had such a relationship, and is much the poorer for it. I believe in the Rainbow Bridge, and if my dogs aren’t there, I ain’t going. It won’t be worth it.
A dog is truly the only love money can buy. Treat a dog reasonably well, and it will love you even if you have no money, no fame, no skill, or anything else at all.

With that being said, I was very disturbed to read the following sentence in the article:
"(Grommet had to sign a non-disclosure agreement to keep the identity of the South Carolina “owner” secret).
Why was this necessary, what was being covered up and who is being protected?
I don't know about anyone else but after signing and doing what was required to get my dog back, I'd launch into a personal vendetta against those being sheltered and give a full disclosure into what they had done to me and my dog...........
You can sue me to hell but if I have nothing to offer, then you get nothing.....As for my dog, you'd never find him.
But that's just me.....

Yes, Savage was going to spare no expense or unturned rock to get this dog back for this young country defender. Face book and Twitter got people involved too.
Since I don’t do FB or twitter, I was only aware of Dr. Savage’s efforts.
